As steep hills are obviously a performance enhancement when I'm driving down them! FFS you cant fart in this country without some jumped up little hitler charging you for it Where can I get a quote that just takes into consideration power increase and not all the little things like a new steering wheel (cooo-eeee what a danger that is)?? Bloody £100 a month for a car that sits in the garage and goes nowhere. Bollocks. Rant over ------------------ Glen :)

Hiya guys, Just replaced my timing belt, water pump and did all the seals on my 1991 NA today; no problems and it is running beautifully. I have tensioned the external belts as accurately as I can, but I am still getting an intermittent sqeualing noise from them. I plan to check them out one at a time again tomorrow from under the car. I think they may stil be a bit loose. Do you get squeal from belts too tight or too loose ? And how long after breaking them in should you retension them ? Thanks guys. Amer.

Can anyone please shed any light on the following: I've a 92 ZX TT. I was driving at 40mph when there was suddenly a 'Pop' and my engine died. It will restart if left for approx. 15 mins, but then dies again within seconds. No smoke was omitted from the engine when the 'Pop' occurred. Does this sound like a problem anyone else has experienced (please, don't be blown turbos!!!)? If so, please give me a clue... Thanks Drew

Got creamed on the M25 last night. Some one went up the back of me and pushed me into the back of another. In fact there were six domino's in all. I was sencond from front. Some guy in a honda went screaming into the back of a 928 (writeoff) which got pushed into the back of a Puma (write off) which got pushed into the back of a Saab which then hit me, pushing me into the back of a toyota. I was, for a second or two, stationary. So was the car in front and car behind. My rear bumper fecked, front bumper, bonnet, front panel blah. Now, I don't know how this is going to work insurance wise. Really, the guy at the very back was to blame. but the woman in fr…

Hi for thouse of you who dont know i have replaced my blown diff on my UK Twin Turbo auto for a Jap spec diff from a Twin turbo auto. And now after my first fast run the car nolonger accelorates straight to 140 easly(i know they are faster but i find 140 is the speed my car thundered to),anyway now the car with the new diff thunders to 125 so top speed should be an interesting comparason, thats a 15mph differance. What would be good to know is has any one on the forum changed the standard Z combanation (ie changed the auto box for a manual with out changing the diff,or visa versa)and how did they find the performance in the upper regions of the Z. Also how does a Jap sp…
