Can anyone please shed any light on the following: I've a 92 ZX TT. I was driving at 40mph when there was suddenly a 'Pop' and my engine died. It will restart if left for approx. 15 mins, but then dies again within seconds. No smoke was omitted from the engine when the 'Pop' occurred. Does this sound like a problem anyone else has experienced (please, don't be blown turbos!!!)? If so, please give me a clue... Thanks Drew

Got creamed on the M25 last night. Some one went up the back of me and pushed me into the back of another. In fact there were six domino's in all. I was sencond from front. Some guy in a honda went screaming into the back of a 928 (writeoff) which got pushed into the back of a Puma (write off) which got pushed into the back of a Saab which then hit me, pushing me into the back of a toyota. I was, for a second or two, stationary. So was the car in front and car behind. My rear bumper fecked, front bumper, bonnet, front panel blah. Now, I don't know how this is going to work insurance wise. Really, the guy at the very back was to blame. but the woman in fr…

Hi for thouse of you who dont know i have replaced my blown diff on my UK Twin Turbo auto for a Jap spec diff from a Twin turbo auto. And now after my first fast run the car nolonger accelorates straight to 140 easly(i know they are faster but i find 140 is the speed my car thundered to),anyway now the car with the new diff thunders to 125 so top speed should be an interesting comparason, thats a 15mph differance. What would be good to know is has any one on the forum changed the standard Z combanation (ie changed the auto box for a manual with out changing the diff,or visa versa)and how did they find the performance in the upper regions of the Z. Also how does a Jap sp…

Not exactly the technical thing in the world, but I thought this the best place to ask this question. In the Z Buying Guide on this site, it shows the turbo guage going from -14 to +14. When I tested a Jap car the other day it had -7 to +7 instead (I think). Is this normal? I think it was the same story with the oil pressure guage. I'm going to see another one tomorrow (in Leicester from Today's autotrader if you've got it to hand!) and want to make sure I am properly prepared. Can anyone clear this up for me? Thanks, -Stu

All the usaul extras leather, climate etc. Looking for around £6.5k as looked after UK manuals are hard to find, I should know it took me ages to find this one. Dear All Hello. I am a kean fan of all the Datsun Zs. My uncle has owned all excpet the Z32 and my Dad has had a few including the Z31. I have been looking into a Z32 TT '93+ UK car for a while and keep reading/hearing conflicting information. I think I would prefer an auto and would be interested in taking it up to 400bhp. Can anyone tell me a good way of doing this so the car would be in optimum condition as if it were stock. Any information on the Z32 auto or manual would be greatly appreciated. Is there a diffinitve answer to the auto/manual debate? Regards MJ [This message has been edited by MJ (edited 11-01-2002).]
