I was sitting in traffic today. As soon as I put the air con on the engine switched off. I restarted the car and it worked fine until I put the air con on again. Was all that abou?. It won't stop doing this now. When the engine cuts out it makes a loud hissing noise and when the sir con goes on there is a slight humming noise... Any ideas?

Hi All Does anyone know of anyone in the London area who are able to do light paint work or possibly full resprays on a Zed, and dont charge through the roof? CheerZ

Bought the car in November, had some oil leaks so took it to SE. Turned out the engine had major problems. Complete engine rebuild, and new 360 turbos fitted £4855. Three and a half months later and the car is ready for collection. Two days later and the auto box craps out. Car off the road for another two weeks. Bought a replacement box and back to SE for fitting. A week later and the car was ready. The following day I noticed a puff of blue smoke coming from the exhaust every time I came to a stop, I hoped that this was just things settling down after the rebuild but yesterday the blue smoke seed to be getting worse. I have a problem with the manual transmission in my 1992 300ZX n/a. When the car is off, it shifts into the gears fine. When I put the car in neutral and turn it on, I am not able to shift into any other gear. When the car is off, and I try to start it up in a gear (1st), the car wants to move forward by itself even though the clutch is pushed in all the way. Any help or comments would be great. I aquired a tv head unit with my z it seems to be standard equipment but i can only pick up poor quality pictures and no sound does anyone know if i can get this fixed or converted to work in uk if need be. Also does anyone know if you can wire these to work with a different head unit or do i have to keep listening to radio 2?

Guys, When i had my PTU trouble over the last 6-7 weeks ago AndyP very kindly helped me out .When i got my PTU back off AndyP I fitted it on & it worked well for a couple of days,then for no reason it started to miss slightly & there was a smell & a slight mist of oil coming from the back of the engine.In the morning the car started normaly & the miss & the mist of oil had gone.Did two or three hundred miles & the ptu let me down .Took it off & repaired it myself,it worked fine for a couple of days & then the same thing happend again. anybody help . Ive got me blink codes but can anybody tell me what Ive got to do to put it in that mode cause I aint got a clue. At low revs it coughs an runs a bit rough, and would it have anything to do with the temp gauge which goes erratic at the same time. But it could just be another fault.

I get a very strong burning rubber smell from the off side rear wheel arch on occasion, it doesn't seem to be the tyres as a) they are not hot, b) I have TC fitted and c) it happens even if I have been driving like and OAP! Anyone got any ideas, I'm a bit lost on this one? Ta Tim

having removed both blowers and having them sent to turbo technics 4 overhaul as mine had siezed, doh! maybe cos i changed the oil every 10,000 should have done it more frequent!!!!! any way im thinking of having 360'bearings any comments on these???????? oh! and having just gutting the cats does it put more strain on the oil seals?? can turbo technics upgrade them??? thanks.

hi fellas i fitted a paul bailey rear light panel 2 the car and doing this makes 1 bulb each side redundant due to the origional having 2 bulbs each side for side lights and brake lights. the new lights use just the one bulb, the problem is that with the 2 redundant bulbs removed the lights malfunction indication comes on the dash which is a bit annoying. i have put 2 bulbs in and let them dangle freely behind the trim but the heat melted the trim doh! i then shorted across the bulb holders but this blew the relay in the boot. any ideas!!!

OK guyz - Some of you might have read the Post by Any a while back about he GB on tt.net Well i have spoken with Harry (YellowZXTT) who is sorting the Deal from the US side about it and have got the go ahead to sort something out with any interested parties. If anyone that is intersted mails me the Car they have and what injectors they want - As far as i know all UK cars are the old style fuel rails (Pre 94 i think )thus can only get the 555cc ones to fit from NISMO ! i will double check on the parts fiche soon. If you really want the 720 or 740cc injectors and you really think you will need them then mail me and i will tell you the options you will have …
