Hi everyone, been a while since i have been on here, major computer problems ahh well its good to be back. Anyway i hope one of you cleverer than me people can help with a problem i have got with the Z. It keeps flattening the battery which initially i put down to the battery being knackered, however it still does it with a nice new battery installed. Admittedly i do a lot of short runs in it and the weather hasnt helped recently but about 2 weeks is as good as it seems to get. I have stuck a meter on the battery with the engine running with nothing electric switched on and it reads about 13.8v, i suspect it ought to be higher than that, would have thought over 14v. …

They are Squeeling when pulling up slowly. Then when i was at high speeds the steering wheel was rattling. Think i need new brakes :(

whats the correct name for the front suspension rubber bush on the end of the tie bar that bolts on to the bottom of the wish bone beside the hub? mines perished and i need to know what its called before i can order one. i have no pics im affraid, i know that would have helped. Cheers, Fraser

Didnt want to steal somebody elses thread - but how do I stop my car ticking over at 1500rpm when warm? Ive reset ECU, and checked connector for temp. Shall I just adjust the base Idle screw when then engine is running and warm?

Whereabouts are these on the car - cant find the plate under the bonnet. Anyone know where its stamped on the chassis or engine. Cheers

At the Ztech Clinic last Saturday , I was telling one of the guys about how some people park in London : I`d actually watched a guy squeeze an estate car into a space by pressing his rear bumper against my front one the day before : coupla little marks..very annoying . On Sunday , I parked in a fairly small space with a Modern Mini in front of me...on Monday morning , Mini had gone and a BMW 3 Series driver had managed to squeeze in the space , leaving me about 2 inches gap at the front...then I noticed that my nose panel had a nasty scrape on it , about 35 cm long and 10 cm deep . Judging by the height and shape , it wasn`t from the Beemer , someone else must have tried…

hi can anyone please tell me where to locate the fuse box for the radio a wire shorted out and now nothing. the radio is still fine ive run 12v to it from the battery. and since this happened im getting a loud wining noice from the drivers door when the cental locking clicks in. any help please.

Ok had a problem recently where the heaters blew out cold air even when set to 40, now the only place i can get hot air is from the vents at your feet, everywhere else its cold, is there anything I can check or do to sort this?

Hello chaps Ive been working on my N/A Zed the last month or so and im finding out things i didnt realise .. firstly i when it broke down and Mark (topless) fixed it :bow: :bow: he said i have a 96 CAS unit, Injectors and other various bits.. ive checked the seatbelts which say 93 .. but everything else is pointing to 96.. incl the loom .. is there any tell tale signs that i could look for to see what year my car is, as its driving me nuts when i have to order bits John

I just took the Z out for a drive and noticed it was very rumbly and growly and every time I dropped down a gear it was popping and gurgling?? Also I noticed it hesitated before it shot off, like when I put my foot down on the accelerator there was a hesitation before launching forward?? I stopped off at a mates for a while then when I got back into the Z and started it it started then died, I tried starting it a few times and nothing apart from a strong smell of petrol then it started fine?? hen fittin thee engine back into me motor 2 years after i took it out and put it in my front room are their any mods i should do to refit with td05 16g turbos a chap i spoke to was adamant that i had to cut the inner chasis legs or inner engine bay out a little and refabricate the panel not a problem really just he"s never owned a zed :( so im not too sure of what he was on about is true anyone know anything? :)

Hi all, My car is smoking really hard when I leave the foot off the accelerator. For example in downhill it makes clouds of white smoke…at least it seems white from the rear viewer. When boosting I can’t find no traces of smoke whatsoever. I recently installed aftermarket downpipes and testpipes…about 300 miles. I checked compression recently and it was within acceptable levels. Boost hold on just fine and the car is performing as “normal”. I’ve checked oil and there is no sign of contamination….the level it’s ok. Water level is also ok and no signs of oil. Anyone care to help?

Hi Guys / Girls..... has anyone had any dealings with THOR Racing in Coventry...... the reason I ask is because i went with my mate to Rogue Systems with his MR2 turbo for a service, THOR is just round the corner so we asked if they could wire in his Blitz boost controller and then set it up for him which they did...... the guy who set it up wasn't very helpful and didn't speak hardly and we really had to probe him deep for any sort of conversation. I already had mine booked in for a 2 hour session end of march to set up APEXI AVC-R and AFC-II and RSM. Is there any difference between whiteline and stillen ones? i.e Adjustability? My Z is currently getting KYB and Eibach shocks/springs and also Adjustable front control arms and Tension rods fitted. Once this is done it will require 4 wheel alignment. Ideally i would like to wait and fit sway bars after a couple of months just so i could feel any difference they make after i am used to the new suspension but would i need to get wheel alignment done again after they are fitted?

Evenin all!! Had my car out today, and she was idlein for bout 10 min and i seen smoke comin from the cats, it was strange cause they seemed to dump smoke every 10 seconds or so as if they were buildin up with pressure, but yet no smoke was comin out of the rear pair! I have de-cats to go in her but my rear seals are not excactly factory spec anymore :( and was afraid if i put the de-cats in i would blow the seals completly!! Any idea why this is? Or is it simply the cats are justed choked up!! Cheers :)

Hi chaps, asking lots of questions at the mo - only got my TT on sat - so bare with me!! changing up manually 1st and 2nd on the auto - is it of any benefit? im guessing its quicker? - is that the only thing? also over drive - is this best always left on or off or what? Thanks!!! :dance:
