Hi all, though I am selling the Z later this year, thought it would be a great send off to go to the ring. Been invited on a stag do which is a road trip including the nurburgring. So looking for any tips, advice or general help in the topic. Doing a few evening laps of the ring, then Austria, Switzerland then long drive back. Over 5 nights in June. Recon the cars up for it as it's done plenty of UK trackday, and 10 of the best a few times. Plus a good few UK road trips in the heart of summer. Quiet highly moded so Ok with the car. Unless there's anything special ya think I'd need. And help appreciated. Cheers Danny

This year I have managed some serious mileage in my zed, largely hassle free after it's overhaul before my Falklands det. Not to mention all the smaller (less than 300 miles) journeys and a full fuel tank of drifting, it has taken me from, Lossie, Anglesey, Devon, Ipswich, Bishop Auckland, Ipswich, Birmingham, to Snowdon and then back here to Birmingham. It was as I went through Telford yesterday that it passed 80'000 miles, not far at all from where I bought is at 45'000 a few years ago. Well done Nissan, heres to the next 35'000 miles.

Had an issue today with my air con pump, the stud that holds this on (see pics) snapped of, so I had to re- drill and tap for new stud, this was no easy feet but manged it, so reassembling the pump I noticed there was a flat washer and a compression washer then the nut that holds it all on , does any one now where the compression washer goes please? Is it with the flat washer or some where else? Cheers

I have been removing my fibreglass rear spoiler , I am left with a very big area of rubberised adhesive on the body work. It does scrap off with a stripping knife. But at this rate it will take me a week! Can anyone recommend some sort of solvent that will help lift off this crap? In places it must be 5-8mm thick. Ffs

Pass! After spending lots of time, money and effort on all the boring stuff - cam belt, full service, all fluids, bushes, track rods, ball joints, water hoses, radiator, heater matrix, O2 sensors and even a new loom! I've been rewarded with a straight pass, no advisories! :balloon: A nice solid platform to now build on and piece of mind :) Visually though, looking at the car you'd never know how much money as been spent recently. Looking forward to spending some money on the cosmetics, trim and paint. :)

I still have what I consider to be terrible brakes. I have changed my discs twice now and still get steering wheel shimmy when braking anywhere from 40mph and above. Is this bush/steering component related? Under hard braking it is fairly easy to get the pedal to its full travel. To fix this I have bled numerous times, replaced the brake servo and brake master cylinder and also flushed the fluid. (when I say full travel I don't believe the pedal is hitting the floor, but it definitely coming to a dead stop. Any ideas? Many thanks

Anyone know if these are any good or do they look cheap and nasty? I've got in the back of my mind they don't have the black outlines like they do in the pic? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/361049611985?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

So a spot of bad luck... I park on the high street opposite my flat at night and last night someone decided to rip my passenger wing mirror off (from the pavement side) and leave it on my roof. It literally the whole thing has been sheared off. What a way to start the day :( Sitting outside the police station at the moment waiting for it to open.... fingers crossed they can help. What is it that drives people to be such ********?

First time on here and looking for some help. I converted my automatic 1990 automatic twin turbo 300zx to manual. Upgraded intercooler 850cc injectors and a set of hybrid turbos. All back together but just does not want to rev. No codes. Ticks over no problem. It hasn't been remapped - could this be the problem ? Any help appreciated.

Hi guys, Beauty on ebay right now. Heater not getting hot is a bit of a worry, but apart from that looks good. Going to view it tomorrow ;) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1991-Nissan-300ZX-3-0-Twin-Turbo-Fairlady-Manual-LWB-2-2-Incredibly-Clean-/301644341451 So, a lot of activity on this one, new interior, seems really well kept. I reckon it will achieve a strong selling price. I will update this thread once I have seen i in the flesh. Best regards, W

For such a commonly used Nissan part they are hard to find a rebuild kit for. Anyone found a good UK source other than the Zcentre as it's extortionate from there.

Hi guys as thread suggest, TT power steering pouring out as if an artery has been cut, I can see 2 pipes over the alternator and 1 which is a bit thicker over the the top of those 2 but it seems a fraction higher up. What is the best to access or is it a few belts and rads taken off to get in there?? Thanks Trev.

Very nice white one displaying at the Kingsbridge Classic Car Show. I'm a long way away, but HID was there trying to coax you out of wherever you were to compliment you. You were obv elsewhere, and you didn't appear, but she saw you on your way off. Think it has inspired her to get ours sorted, so thanks for that! (I was going to anyway once I'm back in UK). Looked like a good day.
