Hi guys was thinking of replacing some of my old connectors in the engine bay ,i dont mean the coil pack or injecter connecters but the ordinary 2 and 3 pin connecters,but was talking to mike feaney today and he says that you cannot buy them,but basically he says you can use any connecter as long as its the same number of pins,has anybody changed theirs,and if so what did you use,i was thinking maybe 200sx as easy to get hold of any ideas?cheers guys.

He is a really nice guy called Dave who has just bought my zed. I will still be on here all the time, just I am going in a new zed direction now. :tongue: Dave came to test drive the car while it was on ebay - and is a real enthusiast. I couldn't imagine my zed going to anyone else, so we I ended the auction early for him. So say hello, I know he will be a welcome member of the club. Just be gentle with him in his first few days so we don't scare him off! (what am I saying? you guys were never gentle with anyone!) lol

i have just fitted a new engine into my zed that has tomi race pistons etc, i was having trouble with it flooding with 555 injectors in as it hadnt been mapped, i refitted standard injectors and it started fine but it idles very irratically and sometimes cuts out when i rev it. I have tried changing the tps, cleaning injector and coil pack connectors (including the temp sensor) and changing the maf sensor but all of which have no effect. The only thing that makes it any better is if i pull off a small vacuum pipe on the n/s of the engine, about half way between the front and back but this causes it to idle very high but smoothly. Any help greatly appreciated as i am dying…

As above, I.m attempting to put the four large Urethane bushes in the rear subframe. I have the bright red versions which came as part of a huge two card collection of bushes. Main problem is the instructions were missing(dont ask!!) So any links, help would be appreciated or a copy of the instructions would be better. Basically I dont know how much of the old bushes to remove???? And how you actually do it. Anyone??? Please. Oh I know you need a press to put the new ones in... someone else is doing that for me.

OK guys, with regards to my other thread "TT engine problems", I've started this to get a quicker responce! Me and the guys at work have managed to push the car and free the engine! I got my diesel next to her with the jump leads on the go and shes now turning but not fireing, before it wasn't even turning it was just clicking! Is there a fuel cut of button anywhere as i havn't got a manual or can anyone surgest what else i could do to try and make it fire???? Just been told that the Zed has failed its MOT. Apparently it was giving out dense blue smoke when idling and so it failed the emissions test. Any ideas on what can cause this, is it serious or could be? Cheers

I'm fed up with a combination of my tatty-looking boot blind and the tinny sound of my 6x4s in the stock location, so I've decided to build myself a parcel shelf and stick in some 6x9s. No sub is going in yet. Thing is, I know nothing about the practicalities of parcel shelf building. However I do it, I'll butcher my existing blind to use the same mountings and central bar on which the shelf will hinge upwards. Then I have 2 basic ideas- one is a solid shelf over the whole boot space. I guess it would be the best solution as a sound board, but the hatch gas struts would be too weak to hold it up if I strung it to the hatch. Idea 2 is to have a solid shelf n…

what make and flowrate are the std TT injectors?

Been sorting stuff out in my Garage as I'm going to have another engine built from the 2.5 TT engines I've got and noticed that the injectors on my original fuel rail are purpley blue. I always thought the car was quick as it always seemed to have the edge on other standardish Zed's, but I just thought it was my induction, boost controler and skill behind the wheel. The car was registered in November 94 and when i've given the chasis No to a few Dealers theys always said it was one of the cars on the cusp of the changes. So are these just the later style standard injectors and therefore the later rail and lower plenum or are they 555's.

where is the best place to lift the engine from. bear in mind the plenum has been removed. cheers guys

Just finished watching the Nissan promo dvd for the 300zx which the postman delivered this morning via eBay. It is twenty minutes of interesting video commentated and demonstrated by Tiff Needall. As it's been around for 16 years or so I guess most of you will already have seen or own it but there are probably a few new Zed owners like myself who would get as much pleasure as I have out of watching this DVD.
