Ok as you guys know my best mate and myself have been fabricating vents and spraying my bonnett and the end result was looking gorgeous, but I came to my Z the following day and overnight the paint has lost it's glass look and has gone all speckely, textured and feels very rough too touch in fact if you touch it, it leaves your fingure mark embedded in the laquer as i found out when i put my hand on the bonnett earlier... :slap: We don't quiet understand what went wrong because it's all happened over night in the cool night air... Should we have left in the Z in a dry garage over night??? Ok we've obviosuly gotta do it again this week and understan…

Hi all, Got a bit of a problem with my zed..The ecu is showing code 13 water temp. sensor..Iv'e checked out continuity of wiring and resistance of sensor and its all ok..Thing is iv'e noticed there seems to be a problem with the coolant flow..the top coolant hose gets red hot whilst the bottom one gets warm..the temp gauge stays about central on the scale..it seems as if the water is not circulating from the engine to the rad, could this be the thermostat not opening or the water pump not flowing properly..How can i test these out easily..The car is also running in safety boost, does the ecu do this when the coolant gets too hot...Cheers guys...steve

Hi guys, hopefully somebody can help me out here. Im looking for an installation guide, of a wiring diagram for a Startex Carmate TE670. I've gone through loads of searches trying to find one, translated loads of Japanese sites, but to no avail. If someone could find it for me, it would be appreciated, many thanks.

Does anyone know what the formula is for working out flywheel bhp from RWHP ? At the RR day I was told my RWHP was 250 BHP and at the flywheel the approximate figure was 330 BHP. As mine is an auto they couldn't get a definate flywheel figure. Their estimate seemed a bit high to me - any thoughts ?

Been messing around with the car today after yesterdays sad rolling road's figure on my car which was due to a nice vacuum leak from the CC where one of the stupid vac line wasnt fixed to it, so I junked all the CC. Was thinking of getting rid of the AIV while I'm at it but a little stuck as I've been reading a few threads saying that if you junk the AIV, you'll need to get a new ECU to compensate. Soooo, for those who has junked it but left the ECU as stock, do you have any problems with it?! Oh, anyone wanna tell me where else to look for when I'm looking for a vac leak, I dont have any sort of way to tell as I dont have a vac leak detector thingiemebob.

JD and I spent the day over at Steve's workshop (Bodywork Plus) yesterday to strip out my bay ready for the respray and V8 and also fit some TEIN HA's, new DBA brake discs (bought from Smithy ages ago) and Ferodo pads, basically a fair bit (John, I've never seen you move so fast mate! Oh, and got the message about your fun with the SL55...if the drive last night is anything to go by the poor bugger didn't stand a chance! :wack: :D) Decided to move the rear alloys onto the fronts and get a much deeper dish custom made for the old fronts to put back as the new rears (did that make sense? ;)). Should be looking at a 13 or 14" width fitment which will do the job nicely.…

Was on my way back from central London and was coming north on the A41 Watford Way (finchely to hendon) when suddenly a 55 plate Black DB9 decided to undercut me and start a bit of a edge on by revving up his engine at the next set of lights...... So i took the bait stupidly and as the first and second lanes were already occupied i had to sit behind him......... To cut a long story short he slightly pulled away off the lights and i would say it was hard to keep up with him but the distance between me and him wasint that much.........maybe two car lengths.......... Anyway i thought theres no way im gonna be able to take him on sitting behind him so i decided a bi…

Greetings, Can people recommend a good kit for the lambo door conversion kits. Contemplating the scissor look but have no idea which kits to go for and where to get them. Looking through the net, prices range from £5 to £800 ! Would definitely like some heavy duty kit. Cheers !

My battery was dieing after one week. So I put a brand new one on and after one week it was fine. Went to the car today, two weeks, and its flat as fook!!!! I have a tracker and alarm on the car but they dont suck too much juice do they? Is there anything else that would suck it?? I have no siren on my alarm as it broke, so the alarm could be going off, but i've never noticed the indicators going (i go in the garage daily)

I've never really been into ICE, but want to fit a sub to my Z. 10" is fine. My friend has a Pioneer 700 watt 10" sub (300watt nominal) which I might buy. What amp will I need? Not after anything fancy as I don't intend to run anything else off it. I've already replaced the rear speakers and will replace the fronts which I'll just run off the HU with the bass turned right down. The stereo does have a pre-out as well. Any help is appreciated.

Hi, Does anyone know how to take out the rear panel (the one which sits between the set of rear lights)? I've given up on renewing my rear lights (which are a bit cracked) as I've read that it is a real pain in the backside as they're bonded in - I'm hoping that removal of the rear panel is gonna be a lot easier. CHEERS!
