General Discussions - 300ZX Related

Hi all I own a 300zx TT (uk spec) and I seem to have developed a rather weird electrical problem. For some reason my stereo, interior lights and lights left on warning bell do not work. I assume this must be one of the fuses, could anyone tell me if they have had this problem and where I should be looking. I never realised how much I miss my CD player until now. Any help you could give me would be most apreciated. Regards Simon

:dance: on monday spotted; A black TT parked up on marvel road, honslow. A gunmetal grey Z going past ealing town hall in the afternoon, and A silver TT with white alloys on uxbridge road at hayes roundabout. on tuesday spotted; A black TT parked up on Hanworth road, A Black Z with number plate K300*** done up pretty nicley on illford lane, and A grey Z parked up on illford high street. one of these Zs must be from this forum! :nana2:

hi guys as u know ive got misfire and poor performance problems, went to the temp sensor today after a hint of one of you good chaps and found to my disbelieve that the plug is not the orginal one, now as someone has re-pluged it could they have put the wires the wrong way round? if so which way round should they go?? regards andy

ppl what i would like to know is...... would a series 2 dash wiring harnss fit a series 1 i.e would a 93 harness fit in my 92? i know there are some extra bits on the 93 model but will it still have all of the bits i need for my 92 auto? also would it mater if the 93 waas a uk spec as mine is a 92 j spec? Any and all helpfull advice apreciated Many thanks Neil

got to get myself a tt z, am guna get 1 wot ever the cost but would like to no any faults minor or major an wot to look for when looking??? am i right in thinkin the best 1 to av is a manual tt swb t-bar?? is importing a z over wise??? will appreciate any comments or help......... excited

any one know where the best place to get a front mount intercooler and fitting kit from please

I have a 1985 'c' Reg 300ZX targa in excellent condition and only 29600 miles from new. Looking for advice re best medium to offer for sale. Any assistance would be appreciated. Cheers. Phil

Thought I better add to my previous post that I couldn't have managed to sort out my radiator problem without all the help I have had from Paul at SWZ. Once again he has been a gentleman and a scholar. I was unable to access the forum due to stupid computer playing up, so he posted the original thread for me and made loads of phone calls trying to find one for me. No doubt he will put the cost of the phone calls on some future bill - lol but he still took the trouble to help - yet again!!!!!!!! Cheers mate

Ok,i have fitted a Autometer temp gauge (one with black screen, that then all lights up when ign on)the sender has 2 wires one black(sheathed)one white(sheathed)wired all in and left black till last(intructions a tad vague but i assumed white wire went to S(sender)on gauge)black to earth,so with ign on i ran a test on black wire before fixing to body,it showed 4 to 5v through it :confused: ,so without it connected and engine running the gauge will not move up(gauge does light up and needle moves to say start point when power on)am bit worried to actualy connect the black wire to car body,anyone else fitted a sender with two wires from it or can shed some light on this,c…

Just want to let everyone know what outstanding service and help I have received from b19rks on this site. To cut a long story short I have had trouble obtaining a radiator for my NA. Obviously being the same as everyone else on here when you need something you need it now and patience is not a virtue! This member not only came to my aid, but sent out a new radiator without waiting for payment the same day as we spoke. What better service could anyone ask for? I just wanted to say a big thank you to him and to let everyone know of one of the good guys out there. It is so easy to complain these days and it is usually more complaints that get aired …

i couldnt wait to have my decats fitted so i am attempting it myself - have taken out master cylinder - dropped straight cat pipe and have removed the pig of a bolt on the pre cat - but i cannot fpr the life of me get to the one nearest to me - its fouled by the heat shield. Have removed two bolts to the heat shield but i cannot get anything on the last one - i get a spanner on it from underneath and cant get my hand with any leverage - has anybody any tricks that i am overlooking - have given up for tonight but would love some ideas to beat it tom. Well it only started yesterday it had been parked for 4 days when i started it i could here one lifter tapping,drove it for a while then it went and was fine for the rest of the day. Now i have started it again and same thing till it warms up any ideas lads 1990 tt .

going to fit a Koyo rad soon was thinking is it worth getting a better thermostat? was thinking about sumthing like a cooler running one (had one on my old 2.0 engine) is there any such thing for the zed? better just getting a new thermostat? thanks alot Mark

Hi guys anybody in the canterbury/whitstable area who could do me a great favour and let me have a look at your engine bay,the thing is iv'e got a TT and i've tried to fit some of smithys vac pipes and made a complete cockup of it and mixed some of the pipes up,so if anybody can pop round so i can see where the pipes fit i would be eternally greatfull,of course there would be a drink in it for you ,if anybody could help only i need to use the car on friday ,help!!!!!!!!cheers guys.

My car is a 1991 jap import with what looks like a series 2 ptu which looks standard and the loom and plugs dont look like they have never been modified.Were some cars fitted with sereis 2 ptus or is it a nissan dealer recall in japan .Thanks taff.

Hey what the roads like in central germany? I got a 300zx sit only 20cm high. Is it ok? Not sure what the weather is like in the winter time, fuel costs, and other stuff. I guess the most important thing is how much it cost to fix it over there, and will i be able to find a garage to work on my car.

GREDDY TD06 L2 - 20G - 8cm^2 Those are making bit more power than the standard TD-06SH-20G's.
