I bumped my car a few weeks ago and Alan has done a great job of repairing it, the colour match is spot on. I had the wing and spoiler sprayed by someone else, a few years ago and it was never right. The paint got slowly worse as time passed, too. He even washed it for me afterwards! I saw Hollings' car there, that's going to be amazing when it's finished!

So I got a double din fascia from interior innovations. First off I'm not particularly impressed that my head unit doesn't actually fit, it's too big. Over £100 and I'm still having to file down the sides, and I'll have to bodge the units surrounding plastic finisher thing to get it to fit even when I do get it in. Anyway, I also got sent these two (rusty, again not impressed though it doesn't really matter) metal plates, but what the hell are they even for?! I can't seem to find a single way they fit the fascia that makes sense. Any words of wisdom our there? But peeved with it all to be honest.

Hi all, As I've just got the car back I've found myself buying all these lotions and potions for cleaning and detailing the car. I have a few friends who are in to this in a big way and take 3-4 days cleaning a car. Im not going that far in to it but i have bought some nice products and though some advice im just keeping the products to a minimum. Just thought I'd ask if anyone else is in to detailing and what products you use? There is so much out there and I'm finding a lot of it conflicting and confusing. My routine as such now is: Pressure wash. Snow foam. Pressure wash. Lamb wool wash mitt with 2 bucket method with grit guards. D…

I'm aware Aem is a well established brand so prob my first choice but then there's Devilsown which I've not heard of before and snow performance only available in the USA. Always wanted this kit installed. Looks Ike I'd need two injectors one for each side, anyone know where the best place to fit them would be? Maybe just before the throttle bodies or just after the IC's??

Once I've had the car resprayed I want to rap the bumper in protective film but the company I use for rapping don't do this type for some reason. Anyone have any ideas? Will be the third time I've had the bumper sprayed it gets chips instantly on the motorway. Fed up.

Just changed my oil to 10-40w part synthetic. Bit of ticking. Just wondered if these are the lifters I can hear I did previously use fully synthetic oilhttps://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10206279504060124&id=1641633174&ref=m_notif¬if_t=video_processed&actorid=20531316728

Hi guys, thought I would share my experience with a smoking exhaust that started and slowly got worse. Similar amount of smoke when you start up a wood fire to grill some steaks, a lot of smoke. This was a rebuilt forged motor with about 1500kms which I had built and I was mentally preparing myself to remove the motor. I started to experience slight smoke after about 20 seconds on first start ups. This after a run would clear up and have no issues through out the day but next morning would smoke again and clear after a run. This eventually got worse over a few weeks which even resulted in oil droplets coming out the passenger tail pipe, the exhaust does not have an X…

Just removed this thing from my car as I didn't want it, though seems like it might be quite a neat little bit of kit but I never played around with it. Anyone know anything about it? I'd sell it on to someone but don't even know where to start with it! Do have a manual somewhere but it's all in Japanese...

Before I start; yes I know I split the callipers but as the pistons were ceased I had no choice ! Ok, to start putting them back together for lubrication what grease or oil should I use ? I've seen a few videos on youtube but they don't explain in detail. Can I just use the same dot 4/5 brake fluid to lube inner seals up or something else ?

Hi gents I have some rust bubbling up on the OS rear arch, as well as 2 small blemishes at the base of the rear window. They're not terrible just yet but they do bug me and obviously don't want it to get out of hand. Does anyone in the Kent area have recommendations for a good/fair priced panel repair shop?

Ok soooooo I have an exhaust leak from either the downpipe or god forbid the manifolds ahhhhhh it gets quieter as the engine heats up due to expansion and physics stuff. I've ordered some smoke pellets, going to smoke the exhaust system and see where it comes out of, although almost impossible to see from under the bonnet anyway. So any decent garages in London who have the ability to remove the engine if need be? Thanks in advance.

I'm toying with the idea of keeping my Z exclusively for the summer months, more from a financial aspect than worrying about wrecking the car when the ice/snow comes! Does anyone know what the best option is for storing Z's off road for a prolonged period of time? Am I going to come across problems after 9 months of no driving – such as rust and corrosion? I guess there are two options: - Put it on axel stands, put material between brake pads/discs, handbrake off, battery out, cover. OR - Keep it functional and turn it over/move it up and down the drive every week and have a friend with trade insurance take it out for a spin every now and then. Thanks …

If I've been driving in traffic for a while then give it some beans it's almost like it's lost 3rd of it's power, the difference is night and day. Especially in the hot weather we've had recently. Anyone else's get this? Once I'm on the motorway and the cars had a chance to cool with a bit of air through the front ic's and rAd it's back to feeling reasonably quick again. Is there anyway around this? Water temp is normal, oil temp is fine, boost levels fine, just really slow feeling and very hot in the cabin. Is this heat soak? I've noticed it runs very lean during idle at about 17-18afr and 14-15afr while cruising. Would this cause too much heat? Having the ca…
