Hopefully someone can help :  Changed the front wings for viper wings at same time as i was fitting hinges for lambo doors.....anyway had to remove the 'black plastic box' underneath the wings to make room. Car was off the road for around 10 months now after driving it up to work to finish everything off and get ready for painting steam has started rising from under the front wings and can hear bubbling noise when car is heated up. Is this because i have removed the black plastic box or is it AIV valves (if anyone knows either way, can you let me know how to solve it) :headvswal If you remove black box do you have to block the hoses or join t…

OK done a bit of searching on this but haven't really got the answer. The Z has started making a whining noise when I accelerate, in all gears but really noticeable in 1st and 2nd. Whilst idling and in neutral it sounds very "rattley" but the noise stops once I put my foot on the clutch. Also after driving in third for a while on country roads (accelerating/decelerating) it sounds REALLY crap whining and rattling, but stops if I change down/up. Does this in fourth as well only really noticed in third. After hunting around I think it's something to do with the gearbox hence the noise dissapearing with my foot on the clutch. It's defo not the engine. I've found a …

I got these on ebay from a chap in the US. They replace the HUGE plastic BOSE case that sits in the doors, allowing you to fit aftermarket speakers. I'm slowly upgrading my system. I have already fitted a set of 17cm Alpine speakers in the rear and have 16cm Alpines for these adaptors. I have a 10" Pioneer sub to fit as well. I'm not fitting these yet as I want to Dynamat the doors completely first. Anyway, just wondering if anyone's bought these and how they rate them (the adaptors, not the speakers). Ebay seller is 'mjmautoinnovations'...

Would be grateful if someone could have a quick look and see if they are cut differently or if it is the grooves in the key that are different?

Well I brought my dremel to make holes in my door card to fit my tweeters thinking I'd probably never use it again. But haha! It's been an absolute star in the last few days. Slicing up my battery cable, stripping the end off the cable, cutting through an old negative connector stuck to said cable, cutting off the ends of the bolt that got stuck in my new gold 'shrimpy' connector, then using it to make a divot in the bolt and then using it to drill through it (the actual drill wasnt fast enough). Fantastic piece of machinary and absolutely invaluable!

As above I need some advice from you guys  I am in the market for a set of alloys for my SWB TT Z. I finally decided on a set of 18"s. I asked for 8.5 width on the front and a 9.5 width on the back with corresponding tyres. The shop has advised to stick with 8.5's all round and just put a larger tyre on the back... Thoughts?

Hi guys and girls i'm new to this forum and dont own a Z at the mo :( , but have been on this site every 2 hours looking for one just incase anything has changed lol. I've wanted one since i was about 13 (now 24)! I've been reading all the archived threads trying to swat up before i buy and am amazed at everyones knowledge and willingness to help each other. This sounds like a great club to be a member of, everyone seems 'sound as a pound'. Everyone seems to have a good sense of humour too, had a good laugh at alot of posts. Can't wait to get 1 and come to some meets/events ( as soon as i get rid of my Starion) , I'm in the south Wales near Newport. If anyone knows of any…
