Hi guys, I am considering sir charles na at the moment to swap in my tt engine as the original plan was to respray mine and fit a 99spec kit. Who might be able to take on that job, and at what price as I might have to go for it if the price is right! I would then need to swap the na into my tt though so i can sell it. Might be a bit too much of a hassle, but interested to hear opinions!

Some of you may or may not have seen I put my Z32 up for sale a couple of weeks back. It wasn’t perfect but all round a great car, both the spoiler and bumper needed some cosmetic attention but I couldn’t see myself investing in the car. I will be sad to see it go this week but hopefully someone will take it further than I could. Yesterday, after a couple hundred miles of travel, I picked up my first Z31… I think she needs a pair of rear shockers on the back, one on the offside rear is knackered. Where would I go looking for spares for the car, I know they are quite common in the US, just wondering if there is a preferred site.

Hello! So after lookign at the underside of the car I noticed how gross the stock downpipes back to the cats are. they have a heatshield or something covering them and the pipes themselves look quite small, what is the standard size? Also, what size can I get away with sensibly as a bolt on? And finally will a stainless pipe change the sound on a turbo car? Thanks!

I’ve just picked up a set of OEM alloy wheels (courtesy of Jimmer) and I’m looking at replacing the wheel nuts. I currently have aftermarket alloys with ‘tuner’ style wheel nuts – the type that require a big Allen key to remove. I think they’ll look a bit out of place against the standard wheels and would prefer something a little more understated. Can anyone tell me what size wheel nuts I need to go with the standard wheels/studs? So far I’m to believe that I need M12x1.25 Thread with a 60-degree taper. I’m not sure if this is correct, or how long the bolts need to be. Finally, any suggestions where I can buy them from? Thanks

  7. A new exhaust manifold product from AshSpec. Great to see that vendors are still prepared to put the R&D into producing new products for the Z32. Probably best to wait for distributors (eg Speciality-Z) to stock the manifolds rather than getting them direct from AshSpec though. http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/general/view/2609693/AshSPEC-Low-Profile-High-Flow-Cast-Iron-T2-Exhaust-Manifolds.html

  9. Hi, I recently bought a timing belt tensioner on Z-Centre, after not having any contact for a week i decided to ring. It turns out he has none in stock and wont be buying them until the pound increases in value. He said i will have to wait until the pound increases so he can buy them in which could take weeks. Where can i get a new tensioner from in the UK? My car is tapping on the top end so i cannot drive it, leaving me without a car. I need this job doing asap and the cam belt 120k service is due, so i refuse to take it all apart to put it back together again to take it all apart again to put it all back together...again. Can anyone advise me…

I'm taking off my Nardi wheel and refitting with a Mondo-refurbished steering wheel with an Arubadave red Z logo. My Z has always had an aftermarket wheel fitted to it. It came over with a Momo 'Race' which didn't feel right in the car, I then fitted an old-skool 90s Momo wheel and then sourced my brand new-never been used 90s Nardi Torino. So it's always had a HICAS boss fitted and therefore I have never had anything to compare. I fettled the wiring so that the CC stalk works, so I'll need a replacement slip ring and a bit of harness which is no problem. I have looked on Nissan FAST and can't see if there's anything else required, so assume that once I r…

Well, time to bring some sad news. Had great run up to Coventry where we're staying for the week, car was running beautifully for the first 100 miles... And then the gearbox gave out... :crying: the gearbox oil was topped up before the journey but it spontaneously decided to pack up. We were coming to a roundabout and it would just grind horribly. Once it grinded and limped into second it wasn't so bad so we made it here thankfully I guess. We also found there was no reverse gear and neutral/park would grind so the gearbox has had it really. I'll make an effort to limp up to Coventry museum as if the gearbox is toast, I might aswell run it until the cogs becom…

With my insurance and tax coming to an end next month, it's almost surgery time. The car will be getting the full 200K service with genuine parts. Aside from the usual parts you'd find in the 200K service kit, what else is worth doing while there's access?

Hello, So had the car on the ramps this weekend for a tracking check after fitting some new rubber and was wondering if I could get some advice on its condition based on these photos? No issues apparent, sills seem strong, but the sump looks like it might be quite corroded along with a fair amount of surface rust on other parts?? It spent 10 years in cornwall so may have seen slightly more salt water than I would have liked, but overall not too bad I think. I am happy to get an underseal at some point, although it seems like it has already had a seal of some sort (factory?) Would a new underseal strip off the old stuff first?

Hello all. I have recently purchased a 300zx I will post pictures and spec soon. I have a problem that I would like advice on first lol.. Last night while at a meet the passenger side coolant pipe to the turbo when pop with a very dramatic smoke screen (steam). Whats the best place to get a replacment? and whats the easiest way to do it? The access to the area is very bleak. You can see on the image the black hole above the turbo where a pipe should be attached. Many Thanks in advance. Mike

Hi, Can anyone tell me where the cheapest place to get front bumper brackets is - https://www.z1motorsports.com/front-bumper/nissan/oem-front-bumper-retainer-bracket-side-p-3602.html Prices in the US work out about £20 each plus postage. I suppose I'm also asking if really; do I even need these? Until today I was going to fit the aftermarket bumper just using big washers to support the top screw holes - maybe not a great idea. It looks like the OEM bumper only had a bracket on one side, and there wasn't much of that left (but enough to use as a stencil to fabricate a top section for the other side - which is an alternative, and probably better optio…

the zed failed mot on emissions cat test. mentioned the cat exemption as highlighted by Lexx previously. cheers @Lexx tester had a read up, agreed on the detail, and retested with a pass. he did try to call them to clarify, but they dont work saturdays. he will speak and get it clarified for next year though, as he said the software does not allow for it and he didnt know about the exemption details for 92-95 registered vehicles.

  22. Hi, New to the forum and after some help with the common accessories relay fault. Have swapped relay but no luck ? MOT is due. Looking through the wiring diagram which seems to make sense but I cannot see identification on the plugs which are numbered on the drawing? Anyone ever seen a fuse box layout? Any help would be really appreciated.

Just toying about with ideas for next winter, (I know, I know) what's the going rate for an NA rear end these days? Don't need the upper or lower arms, just the frame, diff, half shafts and hubs. Also I hear midland turbos do t28 cores into stock turbos for a good price any details?

Evening all, Since owning my Zed I've been skeptical about the reeding I've been getting from my speedo. I went out for a spin earlier today with my laptop plugged into the OBD port. The laptop showed that my speed was consistently 10 kph lower than what the speedo was saying. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions, or advice on what to do to fix this (other than drive faster). Thanks
