can anyone tell me if they have had any problems with the lightweight pullywheel eg waterpump altanater and is it easy as a diy job cheers

Hi people I have posted this problem a while back, but just want to be sure of the problem. While coming on the gas, then coming off, above 3000rpm, no problem. Below 3000rpm, i give it some gas then foot off for approx 2-5 secs, then the blue smoke starts to roll out, foot back on the gas, ooohhh my god!!! loads of the blue stuff, then its clear. As i said before, higher than 3000rpm, no smoke. It's a TT, jap, 555 injectors, hks induction, hybrid tubs, de-cat, manual, boosting at 15psi. Any ideas? Cheers, Alan

Mornin peeps.. Since I had the center console out yesterday fixing the headlight problem I decided to run the cables for a sound system. However we still can't find a suitable place to run the power cable through the bulk head! Where have you lot run your cables? (Pics would be nice if you have any) I'm gonna take the battery out this morning and see if there's anywhere behind there that I can get to.. Thanks! Tony

I'm not the one with a problem this time :) I met some1 at the petrol station the other day, he's just bought a 300zx too, and half hour after buying it he lost reverse.. he asked me to put a quick post on here if I didn't mind.. Is this a common problem in these? Is there a solenoid that allows you to select reverse (to stop you jamming it in reverse while going at speed, maybe?) he can't physically select reverse. Or is this a linkage / gearbox problem? Thanks for any ideas Tony

I understand that it can be difficult to obtain discounts when ordering parts from the USA. What if we planned a club super-order say eight months in advance - for example, if one person wanted a pair of new turbos, someone else JDM 99 spec lights etc and built up a lot of business to ask the three or four main US dealers how much they would be prepared to do the order for? Shipping costs would also be saved and with the Zed Id be surprised if everyone didnt need SOMETHING within the next eight months? If we put it to our American cousins and still no discount etc could be negotiated then everyone could just go about getting their parts in the normal way wi…

does anybody know what bolts a hicas eliminator requires - obviously the same as the reat steering rack, but my cars are miles apart & I forgot to grab the hicas bolts out of my donor and need to fit the eliminator tom... anybody know?? rich

I've just placed a fairly big order with Z1 but they claim that they can't mark the value down for customs if I pay by credit card. They could only do so if I pay by wire transfer. Does this follow anyone else's experience or are they just trying it on? CheerZ Steve :)

Been on the phone with Chris at ZTech and he has given me a few options, which are as follows. Cheapest option is to go with the 360 thrust bearings or go with the hybrid internals, which is a bit more expensive, or, which i'm really thinking about is, upgrading to the jwt530bb turbos with 5 bolt downpipes and 555 injectors, the thing is, I no someone who is selling the 530 tubs, 555 injectors and the downpipes for £2000 and they've only done around 600 miles, Chris said he would do the work and charge around £1400 labour which includes a service and tests to the engine and a general check of the car. What would you guys and girls suggest, bearing in mind I use …

Anybody got a good alternator for sale ? Bearings very noisy in mine and rip-off garage just quoted £230 to put new bearings in :rofl: Also wanted £180 to recharge my air-con cos they reckoned they had to convert to take new type charge ! I am gonna be making a large system en closer in the z. I usually use 19mm MDF but I am trying to keep the weight down as much as possible. I was thinking about fibreglass but dont know whether it compromises the sound quality? Any other ideas??

Hello good people of 300ZX.co.uk I used to be a member many moons ago, but sadly had to sell my beloved NA SWB due to it costing way too much in insurance and fuel :cry: Thankfully, I may well be back in the market for another. I currently have a 200SX S13 which I have ploughed a few grand in (engine rebuild, new turbo, FMIC and some other choice mods), but they guy I bought it off now wants to buy it back :D Sooo, after a good hard think, if he does indeed buy it back, I'll be on the lookout for a manual NA.
