Whilst having a sedate drive around silverstone yesterday my power steering died, there had been this whiney-grinding noise coming from the steering for a while and now that noise has stopped but so has my ability to turn. There's no blown fuses so is there anything else I should check before I go and change the pump?

which is better, electric or normal? Also whats better about which ever you choose?

While putting a few things back in the engine bay, I noticed this pipe was split. Does anyone know the name for this pipe as i need to replace it. I know its somethng running from the turbo, intercooler or something. I looked on the courtesyparts website. but could not work out which one it is. Is there anywhere Here that would sell that part? Ive noticed that my zed (1993 TT manual) drives alot nicer at night. During the day there is sometimes a flat spot at the upper end of the rev range and its not as responsive, overall doesnt feel as fast as at night. From what ive read this is because the air at night is more dense, hence a greater volume of air entering engine and hence increased amount of combustion. Whats the best thing to do to make it drive during the day as it does at night?? FMIC? chip? or...?? thanks in advance!

I still cannot find a hole to put the vacum piping in for the aftermarket gauge i got! I have had a dam good look! Can i please have pictures of were you put yours??

Ok this might sound a bit fast n furious and maybe chavvy. What makes a Turbo car pop, back fire and flame? I'm not after spark plug answer or BEE R rev limit thingys. I think a car sounds awesome when it pops. It just adds that tunned sound. Every car my brother has tunned done this but my 300 only does the very odd occasion but when it does it sounds awesome. Both his 200sx and RX7 done it. I believe this is because they are single exit exhaust systems complete free flowing. My previous system was very restrictive. 2 1/4 pipes into a cheap back box and with a H pipe. Would a complete 3" system from the tubs into a 3" pipe then 3" into the r…

ok, right i've always wondered this. Lets go on the assumption you all the right parts to make 800 hp for example but... Lets say you have 2 turbos both rated at say 250bhp Does that mean the most you could get out of your car is 500hp? Or is it possible to get more out of it? with the additional mods. What would these be? like keeping the turbos cooler? heat wrap? exhaust to help the flow better? Nos? water meth? The figures above are just for example. what's i've always wondered is with a turbo car if the turbos are listed to make ex amount of bhp can you get anymore out of the car with the right mods??

hi im new to the site so hope i get ths right. im the proud owner of a 1992 300zx tt manual british car not an import. iv owned the car a week now and got to say wow.... im impressed. the car had been stood for about 5 month when i bought her but started 1st turn of the key and ran like a dream. but the last few days she has developed a flat spot when you floor the excelerator.in fact even if you excelerate slowly there is a defernate flat spot of some kind. just wonderd if anbody had any ideas on what it could be i no she is due a service which if it ever stops raining im going to do as i no this is crucial on the tt models. ther is also a knocking noise from …

happened twice now always seems to be when its bloody raining lol loose all power to the aircon/wiper pod also loose power to the interior lights when it happens always comes back on eventually any ideas what could be causing it stripped it off and couldnt see anythin. cheers

Saw a black zed in Upholland just now at 4.40pm. I only caught the back end, but it had standard lights and spoiler for sure. the wheels were aftermarket though. Looked nice. :) Was it you?

Can anyone tell me how to remove the rear spoiler, is it bolted or stuck on cheers.

Some may know i am currently on a Student Gumball Rally from UK to Croatia and Back totalling 3000miles! I made it to Croatia no probs and a fab drive! (Even through Stelvio Pass, cooking brakes on everyones cars!)on the way back on our way to the Italian border through Slovenia we broke down :( Car wont start but we believe it is the Fuel pump as we took the filter off, fuel sprayed out (suspected blocked filter breaking pump)but when we crancked it no fuel at all came through! Can the brake set up dics a clalipers ect from the 350 fit the 300 if you have 18in wheels, or is it to much work?

Hey all Not sure how its going to work out but my clutch booster died so I have converted to an NA clutch set up in my TT as I liked the idea of a mechanical clutch rather than the on or off hydaulic one. I'll keep you posted. :dance:

Hi just got my Auto UK TT back from MJP Autos, with new boost adjusters, and a remaped ecu and the rather nice surprise that I have excellent power balance between the cylinders! I was in a rather good mood, so today despite the day I gave her a hell of a drive and she flew! The remap made such a difference! HOWEVER Tonight I have the dreaded "wont go into 3rd gear auto" problem and I am gutted to the max, the autobox has covered 2000 miles since being replaced by SE Nisstek, two years ago, now I know what this means and that it is likely the box is shot, but I just wanted to know if there is anything which could be the cause. if, for arguments sake, i was to go to mr nissan for a set of oem brembos discs for my r33 gtr setup and pay 16 million quid each for em... would they essentially be the same disc as the 3G discs? i know they have slots cut into them but im just wandering whether the supposed cast quality of the 3G's really is identical to the 'reliable' (?) brembos... cheerZ
