M25_Toy
Hi just got my Auto UK TT back from MJP Autos, with new boost adjusters, and a remaped ecu and the rather nice surprise that I have excellent power balance between the cylinders! I was in a rather good mood, so today despite the day I gave her a hell of a drive and she flew! The remap made such a difference! HOWEVER Tonight I have the dreaded "wont go into 3rd gear auto" problem and I am gutted to the max, the autobox has covered 2000 miles since being replaced by SE Nisstek, two years ago, now I know what this means and that it is likely the box is shot, but I just wanted to know if there is anything which could be the cause. Funny enough I have a manual ECU and changes are completely reliant on the Auto box ECU, (SE Nisstek ball up!) However prior to tonight it was shifting ok, Any ideas???????? radron
Could it be that the car knows even better than you how much you want to convert it to a manwel?
M25_Toy
Ha Ha, you know, I have never liked the Autobox, I have always found it has harsh changes, and feeding gas out of corners is a pain when it changes down! But at the moment I cant afford the £1500 odd to get it done!
radron
Hey bud was just kidding, glad you weren't offended! Good luck with the fix!
scottztt
Have you checked the fluid level, mine had similar problem when put back together after engine rebuild, it wouldn't go into the high clutch ( 3rd and 4th), topped up fluid and was ok. Failing that try auto diags, on twinturbo.net, see if that says anything.
