Only caught a glimpse as I was avoiding walkers on cycle path:headvswal Nice looking black zed with polished rims/black centres, single exit exhausts either side - nice subtle growl with standard rear lights - first thought was Marco, but too quiet:D

Hi, Just wanted to post up a fix I have found for a vert roof problem for people doing searches in the future! The release button didn't work for the metal shroud, that sits between the seats and the boot lid. When pressing the button to release the shroud I could hear the relay click and the mechanism release but the shroud did not release. If you use the manual switch not the electrical button to release the shroud, you will notice on the underside of the shroud are two locks that engage. On these locks (each side) are meant to be a metal spring to work the mechanism, these are prone to falling off, replace them, and touch wood things should work again!

i just found this on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=260192287404 and tbh i quite like it, its subtle apart from the spoiler but you dont get that anyway, and a bargain to boot, it works out cheaper than a greddy front bumper :smash:

Hi guys i posted a thread about improven my cams, due to the fack that one of mines is on its way out, looking at some of the prices, and by a comment being made it would not be coast effictint to go for a high cam kit,so wot i need to ask is,is there some where that i could get standerd cams at a good price,or is there someone breaking a engine were i could possible buy the cams of them, also as my car is a 1992 n/a import would this make it much harder to get the parts that i need, plus this may sound daft but is a 3liter v6 a twin cam or not, would it b all wright to just replace the cam thats on its way out or to replace the lot.obviously im trying to keep the coast down t…

How hard is it to replace ? I just got my first Zed at the weekend, blown autobox but the RAC brought it back the 448 miles  While i was down letting it run and inspecting it, the car filled with steam and the drivers footwell flooded, my first thought went to the heater matrix :smash: Is this common ? or is there something else it is likely to be before i go wasting money on cash that could go towards the respray :hyper:

at what speed does the spoiler really come into play? i'm thinking of removing mine - some days i think zeds look better without some dayz i think its better with. my boot sometimes swims, and i dont' really want to glue it on to the metal of the boot - and i've replaced the rubber seals. could it be worth fabricating one that lifts up at a certain speed, like the old porsches do? nice winter project.

Hi All, Im having a custom carbon bonnet made and would like to add a vent to realise some of the high temps from the engine bay. Where would you think would be best to place to put a vent? I dont want to place it over apart of the engine that water may cause problems. But in a place that the vent or vents will actually work. Also has any got any ideas on style of vent? I want one that will let the least amount of water in. No big scoops! Was maybe thinking of the flat Scooby STI vent or just simple cut outs. A few ideas I like this one off the 280z directs air aswell as a vent

Since the car was resprayed, I am now the proud owner of a swimming pool in the passenger footwell... Not only that I have water collecting in the tim where the spoiler is bolted to the car.... The body shop have ceased trading...probably because they are crap and do a p155 poor job.... anyway... Can anyone point me in the direction of new rubbers...door, targa, etc.... basically I think I'm gonna replace all of them. Thanks Chaps and Chapesses. Regards Paul

Hi, I'm keen to learn the practical side of building engines, i have good basic skills. Helped my dad build a number of engines, just not one by myself: I've got two questions: - Is the VG30DETT too complicated engine to do my first solo? - What was your first engine build, what would be a good cheap engine to rebuild before attempting the ZX? Regards, Ste

Went to clean my throttle bodies today to see if I can sort my high idle problem out, started cleaning them with a toothbrush and the dam thing snapped, tried taking the throttle body off but diddnt know how to take it completely off so I looked up on the internet and found that I could access the toothbrush by removing the balance bar, anyway, I managed to get the toothbrush out, I tightened the throttle body back up and put the balance bar back on, my question is, will I need a new gasket for the throttle body and what is the best sealant to use to seal the balance bar back up as their is now an air leak? The idle is still a little high, just above 1000rpm, I think it m…
