You can see i'm new to this car, how does the switch work i.e. what does it do ?

As you are more than aware, iv had nothing but issues since I bought this Z. After it was driven home on a low loader last night after the misfire became that bad the engine died and would not even fire up again. I mangaed to get it ticking over this morn with use of a gallon of WD40 all over the coil pack connectors but its still missing. I noticed that steam (condensation) was coming out of one of my exhausts a hell of a lot more than the other wich would lead me to believe the issue is the left side of the block. Would removing the coil packs and wd40 ing them help as moisture could have got deep inside them or are we thinking its more likely inter…

Having purchase a Shogin LWB 3.2 DID Elegance 10 months ago for £15000, I finally traded it in for £9300. That's an expensive 10 months! The value it was losing (approx £770 per month according to car mags), fuel prices and this government conjuring up new car tax bands (£450 per year ) made it not worth holding on to. Had hoped to keep this for a few years but I gave £3000and the shogun for a VW Golf TDI 140 Sport with all the works. 2006 with 1 owner and just 30,000 miles. Had her two weeks and the onboard fuel computer says I am getting an average of 58.2 mpg. Wow - will get my money back in no time with this little thing.... and it goes like hell for a turbo dies…

As above ^, just need to know the inside diameter of the origianl pipe where you put boost jets, not the size of the jets that fit.

Went to change my crank pulley, took the Rad & Fan out. took all the belts off and undone the crank pulley bolt, got out my pulley remover but the crank will just not shift :headvswall: What could be keeping it on so tight ?

Would it be possible to convert the Z to 4WD?

If anyone has a microfiche for the vert hood mechanism or knows a link for it please let me know?

:cry: Sold the Zed today. I only got £3,500 for it. I would have liked 7k for it as I have spent over that on it, the paint cost me 2K with the air brushing. I love the car and will be very sad to see it go. It is going to a good home though. Andy has got a good car for that. I just could not get what is worth IMHO. It has been good seing you all at meets and all that Zed stuff. I will still look in on you all as I love Zeds. If I ever get another car it will be a ZED...:bow: I love it more than the 911 I had or the V12 HE Jag. I will be getting a GSXR 1000 when I see a good one.....I have not told the Mrs yet but she will find out one day if she looks…

black 300zx on the M11 heading north at 7 AM this morning. looked good, plate was J20 *** i think al.

just bought another 300zx tt when its cold the clutch is fine does not slip at all but when the cars warm or in traffic it slips like a b@tch would i be right in thinking the pressor plates scrap??? i know the car had a new plate fitted a while back but no pressor plate please help guys any ideas???

Probably been asked before but I've not found anything with a search. Is there or does anyone know if there is a FRONT camber adjustment kit for a Fairlady. The front tyres are wearing right on the inner shoulders near and offside. The only place I can see latitude for adjustment is the strut top mounting. Would shimming this mount cure the problem or is it more technical ? Any ideas, please.

is there anybody in the north west that could possibly do a electric test on my gearbox and or engine to find a fault as it wont change gear properly thanks

Bl**dy things are getting right up my nose (which can be uncomfortable :eek:) Are there any problems if I take the damned things off completely, and don't replace them ? :confused:

Started the car today, it was very cold and wet, went to put my foot down to pull off and the revs dropped, nearly stalled it, put it in neutral, reved a little and the same thing happened, when it had warmed up it was fine, what could be the cause of this?

Hey guys the garage rang and are telling me that they have the car up to 1 bar and 400 horses. But it starts to misfire when it gets hot so they reckon I need a new set of coils. Are they talking shite? or are they on the right track? They say the coilpacks start breraking down at 1 bar. Cheers Ron

The problem it seems is the bovs. It seems like the bov doesn't close fast enough, causing the car to die:headvswal The bov are mounted on the hardpipe before the throttlebody. The vacum adapter/control tube or whatever it's called that's on the back goes to the balance bar.
