What do we think is the best colour on a zed. Or just nice colours in general. I need to decide on one. I think I'm gonna be going black again but then I'm completely unsure what to go for, like, metallic, straight black etc. What are peoples thought

Spotted on the Brighton road earlier in the horrendous traffic. Metallic red body, with black roof and tailgate, and a large front splitter with lifters on it.

Hello, I have been waiting for sam from panel and paint to book me in for months now without any luck so I have found a local quote for the bumper respray. The garage said they use Renault paint but could mix the right colour for my TK3 using the Renault water based paint. Does this sound like it would be okay? They are charging 270 inc vat for the respray and blending work which seems alright

.......Your club needs you! Well, one of you..... Unfortunately due to work commitments Funky Si has had to pull out of exhibiting at the NEC this year. AndrewG was on the reserve list, but sadly has been let down by his painter so his rear spoiler will most likely not be finished in time. Is anyone else, with a very nice Zed, ready, willing and able to step in at the eleventh hour? Please remember that you'll have to be at the NEC Thursday morning; and commit your car (and ideally yourself) until late Sunday evening! To recap, we have some hotel rooms booked - and the club will cover the cost. All you have to pay for are your meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner…

hello all. So she failed the MOT today, but not for emissions which was my worry due to the decat. The basic test shows 0.7 on the emissions so well below the 3.5 limit. Failed on the following which I need some help/advice with. Reason(s) for failure nearside Rear wheel steering ball joint has excessive play (2.2.B.1i) offside Rear wheel steering ball joint has excessive play (2.2.B.1i) Can someone confirm that these are the culprits? The tester said he "thought" that was where the movement was coming from. How hard is it to replace these myself? Ali said I can swap some on from his car potentially. Will I need a press? nearside fr…

Hi all, So, some of you may already have picked up on the fact i got myself another Zed last month against all odds & after saying i'd never have one again and selling the contents of my garage! Turns out after my accident in April & being completely heart brocken having written my car (of 10 years) off i understandably became a miserable B**t**d (according to the wife). Having sold what spare parts i'd collected over the years i'd resigned myself to never owning another Z32. However, having recovered from the accident my wife began to encourage me to look for another car to cheer me up. So i started looking at the alternatives SKylines, Supras, S13 &…

Someone's parting out an r34 gtr here and I'm wondering if the brakes would fit my z32? My current setup is 350z track edition rotors with the czp caliper adapters. I'm thinking just the calipers, I think the rotors are about the same size as the 350z track edition?

This should be a fun thread! Here's the deal: you're allowed 4 cars on the NEC stand. List which four you'd choose and, if you so wish, why. Mine would have a representative of every body style so: 2+2: either FunkySi or Ian Greenfield. Si because his is simply a superb example of a family estate, and Ian because it's such a rare variant. 2+0 T-bar: Dougal. His Shortie is just sensational and I think it should have far more recognition than it has. 2+0 Slicktop: either Phutumsch or, for a bit of variety, Jaffa! Convertible: either Johnyboy or Toolboxtrev. I think they're both well sorted examples of Verts, albeit not standard or OEM+. I …

Hello guys, I had my Hicas-light that came on since a few weeks. It only came on when I drove my car on the highway for more than 5 minutes at speeds higher then 90 km/h. Fluid level had been topped up. No problems were found with conzult and neither in "self-test mode". The car didn't do this before. After a good thinking I tried to remember when it first happened and what was changed to the car then. The last thing I changed was connecting the rear speakers. Normally, in the '90 model, there is a standard amplifier for the rear speakers in the back. The headunit amplifies the front speakers and a low-level signal is send to the back. Since the rear amplifier is gone…

As my car is an Impul 932s, I'm trying to get original impul parts to complete the 'set' if you like, and one of these was this gearstick as one of the options: So there was my task. So I took an aluminium rod and cut it to length Then did a big chamfer, drill a large and small hole in the end and tapped a thread into it. Then used a piece of stainless steel, thinned it down to the right size and put a thread in that. Then I briefly did the top by chamfering it but its rushed and will need redoing. Here's what it looks like: So body nearly done. I moved onto the brass bushings because it's not worth buying them Drill hole in the cent…

So, driving along and look what I spot: Had to pull over and waited for the owner to have a chat. The car was a late model TT auto import and the owner, Alan, had never heard of the forum and frankly couldn't see the point lol! Anyhow, he said he might be interested in coming to see some other Zed's perhaps at the SE meet. Well wait and see. Anyway, it was nice seeing a Z in the wild and meeting an owner.

My clutch and flywheel need replacing very soon, so I'm looking for recommendations please. From a financial viewpoint, I'm looking at the XTD kit (with the clutch) but I've heard the odd bad thing about them... can anyone who's either actively running this kit (or has in the past) comment? Or has anyone got a good lightweight flywheel that they need to part with? Thanks. :)

Hello everyone, it has been a while since new pictures of the Z were posted, and in a recent photo shoot I was able record a few clips of the Z and put them together to make a quick video. Hope you all like it. P.S Rich I know I still owe you the pics, but I figured this will make up for them :sweatdrop: Rob
