1. Hi guys, as some of you are aware, I have the Japspeed divorced downpipes fitted to my turbos, I'm therefore looking for the decat pipes that mate up to them, let me know if you have any before I go and buy new.:thumbup1: Thanks Richie
2. I have to admire you mate, Fair play for giving this a go:thumbup1:
3. I wasn't having a go Ali, I'm not hurt, I was just stating the fact that the cars came with that colour from new. Mine is green this week but will more than likely be red by next week (God willing):thumbup1:
4. I've the OEM Green "300zx" on my blue car, it's the colour Nissan decided to go with regardless of the cars colour.
5. Hi Trev, what size / model battery did you get?? Thanks.. Richie
6. Hi Trev, what size / model battery did you get?? Thanks.. Richie
7. I had the lads in work sand down the castings on the plenum and then gave it to Carlow Coatings who do the rest, block holes etc, they then treat it, coat it and lacquer it. It cost me €90 (£70ish) to do the plenum in that silver chrome and the rocker covers in Red, The hardpipes (silver chrome), balance bar and coilpack brackets (Red) are €50 (£40ish). Hope this helps you out:thumbup1:
8. IT'S ALIVE!! Well guys the engine's running, allbeit without the rad etc, attached, good loud burble coming from the downpipes. Got my hardpipes powder coated but not too happy with them, they rushed the job, which meant they didn't sand down the chrome pitting and it shows up through the coating. I'll get them to re do it when the car is home. Battery is shagged, what's a good replacement?? as Halfords must have changed the product code. Clutch slave cylinder is leaking so no clutch at present. Hoping to sort out these niggles tomorrow, then on Weds, I'm hoping to get a loan of a lift and a guy who can Tig weld to hack up my decat pipes so the exhaust will be fully connected:thumbup1: Gaskets and accordion pipe also arrived today. Thanks Baz for that A few pics..
9. Ha!! I was told I was definitely buying UK spec clocks!! Ha!! Cool if you believe him like I did!!
10. You know my feelings on this person Buyer beware!! Not getting involved, do what you want
11. Happy days Dave:thumbup1:, I'd still get a downloadable copy of the user manual that you can keep for reference.
12. I asked my cousin who runs a fabricating company if he could send one of his lads up to work "on site" at the garage, he's up to his eyeballs till Weds, so won't know till then. he did give me 16 x high tensile stainless steel M10 nuts, bolts, spring washers and regular washers for fitting the exhaust, so that's another obstacle out the way, Sorry about last night guys, my life is up to ninety at the moment, the only thing taking my mind off it is getting the Zed up running and when the guys told me it didn't fit, i lost the rag, so apologies for that. I'll butcher up the decat pipe, the cousin company deals in stainless steel so I should be able to get joiners and extra pipe if required:thumbup1:
13. These are what I need without the smaller turbo downpipes
14. Thanks guys, I haven't a clue and to be quite frank, I'm so stressed and pissed off over that Redbaron ****er screwing me over for a third time that I can't even think straight right now!!! 7 years on and the **** is still causing me stress and hassle!! I'm going to go off for a bit and cool down, can't think straight and i've a splitting headache!! I'll try and re-address this later, thanks
15. So, received a call from the garage saying that I've a problem with the exhaust system, they told me to call up so they could show me.... Another example of Redbaron's selling ethics.... My Twin Turbo Decat pipes that he sold me are actually NA decats!!!, they don't fit!!!. I've two options, A. see if I can find someone willing to hack up the NA decats and TIG weld / Bast**dise them up to fit, or B. see if anyone here / ebay can get me a pair of just the decats (not including the turbo downpipes as they're already fitted and in the car). That man has a totally F*cked up moral compass!! What does his kids have to say about this latest turn of events:innocent: Anyone any help or advice??
16. As my car is an Auto converted to Manual, I have 3 balance bars, 1 has an extra pipe fitting (manual?) and the other two don't (Auto?), my question is does it matter which is fitted on a converted car? that is to say, do I need the extra vacuum fitting , I've read somewhere that it's a clutch booster vacuum hose fitting, do I have a clutch booster on my conversion?? Thanks in advance guys Rich
17. Cheers Si, pm me details if you don't mind.:thumbup1:
18. Today, I brought home the hard pipe kit as they were corroded, thought they were aluminium, so could be polished up. It turns out the are chrome and are quite badly pitted, so off to the powder coaters for a matching coat of chrome silver, same as the plenum:thumbup1: Pulled all the hard pipe connectors as they were manky! Before gave them a bit of a scrub After Would prefer black connectors but cash is tight, so they'll have to suffice.
19. All four wheels polished and bolted up:punk:
20. Ha!!! Love it!!! you win  ( still ain't getting my goodies though:tt2: )
21. Due to my upgraded security system, the car will be parked under three LED floodlights with two HD cameras recording and me inside with a PR24 riot baton !! Oh and armed police at the end of the road:biggrin: See how you get on with that:tt2:
22. The missus got her hands on the keyboard while I was doing the dishes!!:eek::rolleyes:
23. :clap::clap::whistling::innocent::whistling::yes::tt2::punk::biggrin::drool::lol::laugh::lol::scared::thumbup1:
24. Baz's fat thumb with the carbon fog ducts and accordion pipe, messaged him on Facebook yesterday afternoon and he went to his lockup and grabbed them and had them booked for collection by 11pm last night. Another true gentleman I've had the pleasure of dealing with:thumbup1:
