  1. Gutted for you mate, after all the work and effort you put in. CHIN UP! Always look on the bright side ...At least the brakes didn't fail when you were lashing down a racetrack!!
  2. Holy Sh*t !! thought they were long gone! out of Ireland anyway, see there's 4 stores up near you Gary.
  3. I think I still have the originals in the boot of the zed, don't ask me what condition they're in, I actually think they were ok as i only changed them when I got the Buddyclub Coilovers.
  4. I'd say when he put up the ad and entered the reg, the website auto filled in the tech specs etc. I like the 390-500bhp bit :whistling: that's a big difference when it comes to buying the parts to make it 500bhp!! I'd say he opened the bonnet, saw shiny pipes and said " wow!!shiny pipes!! This thing must be a racing machine with close to 500bhp!!" :w00t:
  5. Happy days Trish!!
  6. That's a beautiful car mate, do what I do and try to grab a few nixers in your free time to help raise cash, I find the odd gardening job here and there when I'm off work. In the last 2 weeks I've raised €550 towards my replacement engine (have only had 20 hours sleep since Sunday morning!) It'll be worth it though. You'd be surprised how many people don't want to / can't do powerwashing/ gardening etc and are willing to pay.
  7. That looks very tasty, whack on a 99 spec front bumper and rear lights and she's done:yes:
  8. Isn't it a great feeling when you turn your attentions back to your pride and joy and you can see progress beginning to happen! Best of luck with the work Zero.
  9. Get a high end Clifford alarm system Dutch, big money but well worth it for peace of mind. I had the Avantguard 750 in my Evo 8, came with Anti-Hijack and Proximity sensors, if someone even went to look in the window it barked out the most annoying sound and scared the bejesus out of them! I used to have a Snap- Off (I think that's what it was called) steering boss on my Williams Clio, bought it in Carnosseur in Kildare ( that'll tell you how long ago ) never had any trouble with it. As long as you take your time putting it on there shouldn't be a problem. I remember getting frustrated a couple of times when I was in a rush for work etc. but normally it was ok to refit the wheel. Hope this helps. Ps. Did I see you on adverts looking for original 16" Twin Turbo wheels?? I have a set of Jap ones in the Homeplace, pm me if you're interested.
  10. Now why would you want an auto?? might as well take all the fun out !! :tt2:
  11. Hi Allan, good to see you back on.
  12. Any more pics Danny??
  13. Bird, the first one "Zelda" was one of the main reasons I bought a Z and not a Supra:thumbup1: The second one is the one I was talking about, Jay used to get some savage photos of that car:cool3: Really sorry to hear he has passed away:sad: :sad:Rest in Peace Jay:sad:
  14. Volvo S40/S80?? They have the company car look
  15. Just read this thread from start to finish. There's some really nice work in there. As to your dilemma with the front bumpers Si, I'd get both painted up and keep one up safe so you can interchange them for days when you want a different look:cool3:. That's what I'm planning on doing anyway. You'll have the best of both worlds!!
  16. Cheers Gary, I'm getting there Slowly But Surely!!
  17. Got a call from my brother yesterday telling me he heard of a chap selling a TT engine, he told me he'd passed on my phone no., so i got a call from him today, we had a chat and a haggle, (i've been assured that the engine is running sweet with no smoke etc). Managed to get him to throw in a set of UK clocks, manual gear knob and the engine for €650:rockon: Just have to find €650:blush:
  18. That's a nice looking car Rich, best of luck with it, my wife's from Redcross, just down the road from you. The Irish Government is going to love all these Z's coming in with the high road tax on them!!
  19. Ha! who are you telling:laugh:
