  6. Ha!! At least you can spend time tinkering away. Keep the chin up matey!! There's days I'd love to be able to potter around the car doing bits but as its at the garage and I've the family to entertain it's a no go a lot of the time.
  7. Ah Lee!!! That's proper Sloppy!!
  8. I just bit the bullet yesterday and ordered Luke's 6 piece trim kit at Zcentre. Pretty expensive with the exchange rate the way it is:blushing:
  9. That truly is OCD mate!! I don't know how you guys get away with playing with your cars all the time!!
  10. Welcome to the club Jock, start a new thread in "Help and Advice" section and maybe introduce yourself in the "Newbies" section. There's a lot of skillful and knowledgeable people on here:wink:

  12. Pretty much the same story as myself and a lot of other lads on here!
  13. As stated in the "What did you do to your Zed" post, I'm at the stage where the engine is being pulled out in the coming weeks, The car has always been in line for a full respray in a Candy or Pearl Blue but as I've just gone mad buying all the engine gubbins and a few other surprises my funds are running low. I've decided to just paint the engine bay while its empty and I can then do a full respray on the body later on. My question is.... What colour / style should I do the Engine Bay??? for example, should I paint it in a Gloss or Satin?? Black / Grey / Cream / Blue?? Any thoughts or suggestions are welcomed:blush: Thanks.. Richie
  14. As above, Have a brand new Japspeed exhaust for sale if anyones interested?? £200 + Post
  15. You truly are a genius with bodywork... Now any chance you want to fab me up a set of Kaminari type sideskirts!!!??
  16. Welcome back Jay...It's only taken you 2 and a half years since your last Welcome back!!
  17. I was asking how long it takes you to do the whole process from washing to waxing and polishing.... or polishing and then waxing...I don't know which way round is best
  18. Holy Crap!! that's a lot of foam!! How long does it take you from start to finish Ian?? Thanks for those pics Gary, it looks really well. I had my Z booked in for Monday week but there's a bit of a delay on all the hoses I've ordered, so the whole order should be here in 3-4 weeks. Car will have the engine bay painted when the engine gets pulled. What way/colour should I do the bay, Any thoughts?? Gloss or Satin.. Pearl Black / Satin Black or a Dark Grey / Gunmetal.?? The car will eventually be a Deep Blue but I can't afford to get it running and do a full respray, hence doing just the engine bay for this year.
  19. Can you take a pic further back to see the whole engine bay please??
  20. Nice one Gaz, now I know what mine will look like when it gets here in a few weeks time:w00t:
  21. Just ordered Timing belt, water pump, thermostat, Full bolt kit for everything (wings, cambelt covers, coilpacks etc) plus ALL engine pipes and vac hoses. Also bought myself a little surprise:w00t: I'll tell you more about that when it arrives:w00t:
  22. Top work pal! Really does make a huge difference
  23. Back to Black or the likes (Autoglym trim detailer etc) should freshen up the rubber/ faded plastic matey
  24. Happy Days!! they look really well, do you clear coat them also? I admire your DIY ness, I'd be afraid of messing it up.
  25. I'm going to change the belt on the replacement engine with a new OEM one, I was thinking that everything ( Tensioner, pulleys and waterpump) on my banjaxed engine should be ok to switch across as they were brand new OEM parts fitted in '09 and only had a few hundred miles put up on them, I'll order the EGR Blanking kit and Timing belt but what else should I buy? I see things like springs, seals and sprockets, as I don't know the engine what should I get eliminated or replaced??
