  1. Welcome to the nut house :D I would recommend before up BHP i'd get better brakes. Smithy one of the trades does an all round 3G and portfeild pad set up for £390. After that maybe look at an EBC or some boost jets, a chip, John dixon does a good one he's a member on here, then spark plugs next suspention, wheels and tyres and then up to you full engine rebuild/upgrade, turbos injector i/c(side or front) depends on how much money you wanna spend!! After the brakes an EBC and a chip. i'd go suspention and tryes (if you like your wheels) Then id look at injectors and i/c's wont give you anymore BHP to start with but will put you in good stead for future MODs, Also it's worth mentioning that ifit's a Jap auto then an upgraded autobox oil cooler should be your first mod, an upgraded radiator as well. Then if you want more fun a manual conversion. and an engine re-build and turbo up grade. You can find more of the stuff from the traders section, from here HTH my friend Neil
  2. Well, left the pub yesterday that was in Surrey, gonna be floating for the next few weeks sorting out a pub in Leigh on sea in Essex, then on to the Zak in benfleet for a week, after that hopefullybe up in Cambridge, is that still part of the South East or am i now south central, or some other area. Cheers Neil
  3. ok bud they should e here in the morning so i'll change the offending one and see if i can get her started, if so then i'll get round to changing the rest when i'm home next week. Cheers Mate Neil
  4. Now that made me laugh, haveyou read the qustions and answers...... just as funny!! Good find Neil
  5. Well timing is ok, i can smell fuel airs ok, things i dont know about yet are spark and compression, the car was running sweat as a nut before the air leak, could over fueling do anything to affected the compression???
  6. ahhh i see, is there any reason other than the PTU that would cause it too turn iver but not fire up???? Thanks for the comments so far....keep em coming! Cheers Neil
  7. Just worried about internal damage, with it over fuelling like it was could it have been detting, and if so would the car go into safety boost to make sure no damage was done?? The only reason it was over fueling because there was a massive air leak, hopefully too much air to cause detting if that's the way it works?????? I'm slowly learning about the enigine in these cars but still got a lo to learn. Cheers Neil
  8. K800i best phone camera on the market at the moment, and with a great phone from sony erricson.
  9. i would have said the copy right thing right at the bottom of the screen, but it looks like it's been changed now
  10. All depends really,i've owned 2 T top Zed's and never had a leak, butotherwill tell you they have a leak and no matter what they have tried it still leaks. Peanutoil is supposed to be good for rejuvenating(sp) the rubber seals, and some ppl ahave said that it sorts it, might be worth ago if yours are leaking. HTH Neil
  11. Ok got the car safely back and tucked up in the garage.......... almost, bloody mrs old cooker at the back so the garage door dont quite shut!! went outthis morning to checker her over as it was dark when she got here all seams fine :D I've known the batt is knackered for a month or so but as she's off the road for another few months i thought i'd make it one of the last things i buy, i normally just jump her with the omega ( never had a prob ) untill now.... i know 1 spark plug is knackered, but surly she should start??? Jaffa was over new years eve to help fix the air leak   but even together we couldnt get her started........... she's turning over but just not catching! could this be the PTU? or could it be because on the spark plug? got some on order from smithy and they should be here in the morning (but to know if i need to trace down a S2 PTU, no point getting an S1) i/we could smell fuel new years eve and again i could smell fuel today so dont think that's the prob and never had a prob with compression as she's always run fine, never over heated...... only taken her out once! Oh and the Zed's now in March, Cambs, anybody in the area wanna have a look please feel free :D :D Any advise please. Cheers Neil
  12. ok cheers guys was just wondering as i've read ppl talking about it. Neil
  13. I took the Zed out for the first time the other night, that didnt end well.... ayway while i was out i had a little play wit my apexi multi checker, and it came up with ignition timeing 0, i'm sure i've read that you can advance the timeing for better performance, can anyone tell me a bit more about it. Cheers Neil
  14. That carl... Jaffa came over this after noon and we got it sorted, the Bugges i used had come off, so put some new ones in and made sure they werent going anywhere. Car still didntstart, looks like it was flooded.... baddly, so decided to take off tehcoil packs to dry them out, found out that 2 of the rubber ends were broken, so need to replace thoughs and 1 of the spark plugs broke, not sure if it was like that or i happened in the removal. Thanks for your input though mate, greatly recieved. Neil
  15. The Bovs were already on the pipe work when i bought them, the metal pipe work does connect to the intercoolers ( right side of the drivers and left side of the passangers) basicly the bovs are in the same place as the recircs were. but on the bottom of my BOV's you can screw something on but nothing else came with the BOV's when i bought them, was told that it was left open? on the other thread you have a red dot that's the pipe work i bunged up, i know you said that's where you put the bov's but mine are on the same pipe in the same place using the small hole as the recircs? does that make any sence?
  16. you mean just like me!!! bloody chrimbo day mine ran out!! d'oh!!!
  17. I'm going back a few months now mate, the club seamed to go through a bad phase.. but all seams well again. Get ya self subscribed it's on £20.00 and it'll bethe best £20.00 you spend on the car. you even get a zed keyring!!! lol
  18. Was only for a couple of days but still it's an origonal wings west.... just was i was planning to get, and having it fitted.. i know i made the right choice. This, after the sh!t that has gone on of late has renewed my faith in this club, it only takes some to do something like this and i know that this club again could be what it used to be! Neil
  19. See i thought that, for some reason i can put pics up??? i try and explain it the best i can: If you look at the fron of the car you have the recircs, the pipe work going into the intake maniflod, the pipe work that goes up and connects to the turbo pipes which in metal, the bov are fitted on to these, then from the bottom of the recircs you have another pipe that goes behind the radiator either side, i was lead to believe that i had to bung these up to???? the only was the bovs are connected is to the metal turbo pipes and the silicone hose that i have run from the origonl boost pressure location o the plenum, or if you look at the lower pic in my other thread that you posted up you have s/s pipe work connecting to the hoses that i have bunged up??? does that make sense to you?? Cheers Neil
  20. Oh forgot to mention i put £30.00 in petrol which gave me about half a tank, the light was on and think she was running on vapor! when i got back tonight i had 1/4 of a tank...... 1/4 tank in 25 miles!!
  21. Cheers mate, as you gather didnt get very far! bumper looks good on my car.... think i'll keep it lol I'm at work at 5 so if you wanna txt me or something can come over about lunch time, then whip your bumper off and give you a lift back. Neil
  22. As above, after the dilemma my company hit me with last night and Jaffa lending me his front bumper then helpping fit it, i took the Zed on it's foorst proper run in my ownership, only managed a 26 mile trip, was planning on taking it home to cambridge, but only got as far as the M25 turn off from the A3 then had to come back :( The car wasnt responsive at all, put your foot down and pretty much nothing, top speed was 60, put your foot down to go faster and nother the enigine just revved higher!, was spluttering and coughting and really didnt sound well at all, and kept stalling! Now the car was running fine, but i have done a few things since then: Fitted BOV's in place of recircs, bought these with the bovs attached to the recirc pipe work, and was told i only had to put the top hose on from the plenum, the intake pipe work has been bunged and the other pipe work that goes back into the engine bay has also been bunged. Fitted a new PCV vavle hose, only one havent had time to replace the valves or the other 3 hoses. Fitted Smithy fuel line kit, no leaks and everything seams fine. Fited a polished balance bar, again no leaks and everything seam fine. That's it that i think that would affect the running of the car. I feel that maybe i was mis informed or mis understood with reguards to the bov's and maybe it's that that's causing me the problemes Has anybody got any ideas? Cheers Neil
  23. In responce to my last thread, jaffa stepped up and lent me his front bumper, having only met him once, then in the pi$$ing ran came round and helpped me fit it. Top man in my books!     Thanks Mate Neil
  24. I really like that all IMO of course! Neil
