Well sorted the non starting prob's and while it ticking over nicely, thought i' give it a little rev to help clar out the unburntfuel and soot from the over fueling so revved her up a few times to about 2500rpm, and let off, had a smile starting to form waiting for the PTSSSSHHHHHH...... and........and....... and fook all thats what! no noise not even a hiss WTF ibought these second hand from a long established member,so i doubt very much they are nackered, and it started to rain so didnt want to get under the car (fitted in place of recircs)to have a look and see if it's got screws or something, i dont remember seeing any, Any Ideas???? they're of Blitz flavour, so if any one has these any info would help. Cheers Guy's got round to changing the restof the spark plugs and she fired straight up and is running sweet, seams there was another broken plug (which made 2) so she was running on 5! After about 10 mins the smoke cleared... unburnt fuel, and all is now all good again......except the BOV's make no noise at all,but its rainning and cant be arsed to look today, i'll have another gander tommorrow. If you can you should, go down to your local carpet super store andask for some samples,then tack them to the wall, saves your paint work if it's a tight squeeze getting out!

Futher to my last thread (Poss PTU knackered) thougt i'd start another one with ohter little probs now!! :headvswal :headvswal Well it's not the PTU, one of the Mrs mates is round, fella prob's by the sound of it!! So used the time to nip out to the garage, changed one more spark plug, and conected the coil pack to another new one and it sparks.. so thats ok,and then she started!!!! but was running like shit!! only ticking over with my foot onthe gas.... and i mean only just... about 3 - 400 rmp, oil pressure gauge showed nothing... then it started to move very slowly and settled at just under half way, which seamed strange, as normaly it's straight up there, but might have take a while to build the pressure as the low tick over?? but as soon as my foot was lifted it died popping and banging..... could this be a case left over fuel, from the air leak?? does it just need a good rev to get it all burnt out?? i did rev it a bit, upto 1500-2000,didnt sound quiet right, but the fumes started to choke me! does that sound normal after a massive over fueling?. Gonna try and move her out the garage tommorrow and rev her up... good idea or not?? any other suggestions?? This has only started happening since the BOV install, could the BOV's be knakered? can i take off the BOV's and bung up the hole??? (i have removed the recirc's and BOV's are in place of them) Cheers Neil

Bugger!! Just back home after a few days at work, Cant get on line at this pub! (thank god it's only for another week...... cant live with out you guy's!! :p ) So gonna change the rest of the plugs tommorow, see if anything happens,or not as the case maybe. Any body got a s2 PTU for sale??? Neil

That is the one on the Zed centre site, just he's changed the wheels, dont know why IMO the old ones looked better. and get rid of the resr lightcovrs, and the graphix that are only on one side of the car???? lol of and change the green leather to black and i'd think it'd look ok

Got the spark plugs from smithy this morning, changed the broken one, now it's turning over and catches a couple of times as i can see the rev counter goin up, not much but it moves, but still not firing up? any advise on this, PTU can still smell fuel but it's not starting :( going back to work today and not gonna be back until next week. oh well i'll try again when i get back! any body in Cambridge/peterborough got a PTU i can borrow tommorrow morning, as i'm heading back to work and not sure when i'll be back, got the spark plugs arriving tommoroow morning and it would be nice to get the car started before i got,or at least know why it wont start. Cheers Neil
