I an not too fussed by make, I am looking for the best GT25 ballbearing spec I can get for me $$ Looking around atm to see what is about. I could get both my reconned to that spec for about 600-700 the pair, but duff kindly advised me not to bother, as even if borred to fit the new wheel, they and up being a lot more laggy than the real thing. You found any good prices yet mate? what ones you going for?

Back to the parents thing, I know how you feel mate, I put my daughter on a swing in the local park, mind you I do live in a tad of a shadey area. Anyways, there was a kid standing next to the swing I had my daughter on, the poor bugger was obviously waiting for his mum to finish having a fag and talking shit to her boyfriend or whatever. 5 mins later the poor kid was still waiting at the swing, so I put him in it said 'there ya go fella' and gave him a push as I was alternating with me daugter. Then about 10 minutes later his mother saw he had obviously been moved or somehoe got in the swing. She looked at me giving him a push and I just smiled, at which she looked at me like a peice of shit and told me to get her hands off her kid? I thought it was rather charming told my daughter to close her ears and said '**** off missus the kid only wanted to go on the fkin swing, you wouldnt have noticed if some ran off with the poor guy'. Took me daughter out the swing and walked off, then she hurled abuse as I walked off wanting to slap the bitch. She prolly thought my daughter was stolen as well. Whilst I understand there are a lot of fukin weirdos out there, its not like she couldnt see I was with me daughter and only helping the little kid get in the ****ing swing cause he was being ignored. Needless to say, wont bother with that one again. And cobblers, I always go to the old boys in the makets, they need the cash, and bless em they do a good job and are geniune.

Oh yeh it may be worth noting that cheap nasty pads will give you fade more often as the resin used to hold the compund together in them cant take high temps and then it basically evaporates on the pad causing the film to cover the pad and then you fade. As the Z is a pretty heavy car, and the force on the front breaks is pretty heavy, they got hot quick, so if you dont go for EBC, get one which has a high temp threshold. (if you didnt know already, if you did then ignore me ;) ) I'm not sure the above quote I said is a fact, its just what I think. My theory is that the Z calipers have smallish pistons and put pressure more on the pad in two areas, coupled with the weight it heats easy and causes the gas from the reson to spread over the pads to fade it on the disc side. I have used cheaper pads on my brembos at one point and they still didnt fade anything like the standard Z callipers.

Just pads mate? go for red stuff if you want about 60 for the fronts they aint too bad, but Z brakes are prone to break fade at high speeds anyways because of the pressure and lower surface area. I usualy use EBC but others on here dont like em, I find them mint on my brembos. I use red stuff, the temp threshold is pretty damn good for road use, and they are pretty sticky, tend to wear quicker than normal ones tho, anything higher than red stuff, the only diff is opp temp and they wear quicker.

Hmmm, sounds cheap as chips mate,socketed and everything? would be cautious with that. Could always grab the chip and give it to one of the guys on the board that got an EPROM programmer to look at the fuel maps etc if they didnt mind. My bet is if it does work, hes just coppied a mainstream one and changed the code ever so slightly so he cant be done, but dont make shit all diff to performance. Cheap as chips (hehehe) to buy chips and copy the master onto others if you got the hardware, that prolly what hes doing for a quick buck.

Just thought matey, if you got sparking problems, perhaps yur car is throwing you into safety boost for a bit, you sure the guage is reading 0 psi? does it feel like0psi? perhaps you got a kink in your vaccum hose to the guage not reading prop all the time. Safety is supposed to be 7psi but it feels no where like 7 psi it feels more like 2!!!!! My after market guage reads safety boost at 5psi I heard others say the same as 5psi.

:D lol Yeh its weird but I think you put it right, it just doesnt feel right going for a 5 min drive, it aint good for the car, but I dont want to go home after a short run either, the amount of time i go to go home and dont, thing is, me house is right next to two massive dual carriageways also. Its all stacked against me! Mind you whenever I pop over to visit me parents I find my self driving straight by to go for a bit more of a drive lmao..,....

Anyone else get this, it fooks me off. Like right now I want to go out and get some beer, so I can come back and have a few chilled brews, but I dont want to take me car, because inevitably, I will get the LAST CORNER SYNDROME>what is it I hear you ask? Well, everytime I go for a short journey in my Z, be it to the shops, the KFC or wherever, it turns into a long journey!! I'll head home, get to the last turn and think to myself 'nah I aint ready to go home yet' then go the other way, or drive past the turn off that leads to me house. Then ill go for a bit of a burn come back, then think 'nah I still aint ready to go home yet i'm enjoying meself' The Z quite often doesnt let me go home, and this can quite often go on to make a short journey turn into quite a considerable one!!! Anyone else get this?? Steve

ok ok perhaps a bit harsh cause the only reason we buy em is the noise, we all know the recircs are much more efficient BUT thats just queer man not good at all. I can imagine all the novas and corsas will soon be going round town making those noises, soon everyone will, so when that happens I think i'll remove mine.
