  1. Nah I dont bare grudges with things like that mate, sometimes I take things the wrong way ;)
  2. As mentioned it makes me laugh when people put SOLD AS SEEN, because, nothing can remove your statutary rights by law. You have fewer legal rights if you buy privately. The car must be as described but the other rules dont apply. If a private seller lies about the condition of a car, you can sue for your losses - if you can find the seller. Some dealers pretend to be private sellers to avoid their legal obligations and to get rid of faulty or over-priced cars. They advertise in local newspapers and shop windows. Ive got loads of legal documents and things on this as my parents got done by someone and we sued em. Ill see if I can dig em out. I've had this happen to me, bought a car once, drove it home chuffed to ****, the minute I parked up, dumped all its ****ing water on the road, rad was ****ed. The **** must have bodged it with radweld or something hoping it would hold until sold. Pricks, cant stand people who sell ****ed cars. Especially if someone has just about scraped up the money to buy the car then it goes wrong, absolutley gutting :(
  3. All the other people I have spoken to with Z's have ran 14sec+ quaters, I think that shrimpies is pretty good TBH. I dont think in the 13secs range is shit at all, I think thats damn good. The fact that you were only running .8 bar duff doesnt really matter, dont your turbos flow more at .8bar than stock ones anyway? so its not a fair comparison? and havnt you done shit loads to your engine compared to him anyway? Until you get a time that is 'significantly' better with all the extras you've got then shrimpy has, (without blowing up  ;))I dont think you can say his times shit ;) Anyway, thats all ive got to say on the subject for now enough arguing already lol.
  4. Yeh im sorry guys if I sounded a bit harsh, I did snap a bit. Sometimes these threads just catch me when im not in the best of moods anyways. Appologies also if I offended anyone ;) It's just a bit anoying I get it everywhere I go, every one I speak to goes 'oh no its an auto!' When their other autos they have ever driven if they even had have probably had about as much hp as a nova GTE with a blown head gasket. Oh well......................
  5. Im ok, Barry D, smithy and mike feeney can vouch for that ;) But I have sent a couple of cheques out and NOT got any goods (i may point out by none of the above people as they have all been very sound to me :D) I dont think they should be named and shamed, I would just ban them from looking at the for sale and wanted forums.
  6. Anyone know what their bull shit selling fees are? cant find it anywhere?
  7. I take it you've got a better 1/4 mile time by far then shrimpy then? like I said seeing as hes only got the usualy filter, chip, zorst and running 13.5 psi on stock engine and getting 13's. What time have you got on the 1/4 with the 555's hybrid tubbies, nos etc? post up a sheet ;) im sure its soooo much better for all the thousands and thousands? or maybe its worse? I have never seen a manual Z in the club get even close to a 12 sec. Infact I dont think ive ever seen one perform as consistently as shrimpy does. Why am I using shrimpy as an example? because his is a prime example of a stock engines capabilities with an auto box. Why havnt I got a good time on a 1/4 mile? because I have never ran one in my life, and I've never liked the idea TBH but now im comming round and want to give it a go. Infact as I said, I dont recall any stock engined or modded manual beating his time, and if they did it they were modded heavily and only beating it by a few tenths lol. And as for autos are old mens cars? how old are you manual drivers? well im 25 and so certainly aint an old man (not yet ;)) so then manual Z's must be old mens cars to me? how ****ing gay is that? Manual owners cant take the fact that auto Z's are actualy good cars. If the manual was so superior then prove it on the strip, or better still, if you were all that confident that it was so much better than an auto, you wouldn't all be so up tight and defensive on the whole issue. Sound to me like some of the emanual owners feel a bit uneasy to me. And why are most of the best drag cars in america auto? they beat the shit out of manuals, GNTT's for example, one of the most dominent and most powerful cars on the strip, and let me see, hmmm they spend 10's of thousands of $$'s and decide to keep an auto box instead of manul?, as do many high power small and big block v8 drag cars, etc etc. Why? because they seem to consistently get better times. And let me guess manual owners, your just trying to give auto owners a false sense of security by blowing turbos on the drag strip and getting shit times lol. I think people need to grow up, and not keep saying 'nah nah nah nah nah my cars better than yours, my dads bigger than your dad' what the ****? get a life people. Another good reason to sell the Z, so many cocks around putting other peoples cars down, and I thought a car club was all about sharing a common interest not slagging each others cars down, yet Tw@ts who own manual cars think for some reason gives them the right to slag off autos at every chance. Might sound a bit bitter, but im ****ed off with all the school yard comments and arguments occuring now. Steve
  8. Sounds good steve, if I've still got the 300 I will be well up for it! Just let me know matey ;)
  9. Must have been stuck in safety boost ;)
  10. Anyone know where I can buy parts / body kits and pannels for these little beauties? and also the addy for the web add of the club. Been looking everywhere! Steve
  11. Looking at them finished pics I think I just shot my load
  12. IIRC Shrimpy is getting better times on his auto with a stock engine than most of the manual owners who have twice as many mods lmao. And when I eventually get to pod I will intend to do the same to you emanual owners ;) Just goes to show.......... AUTOS RULE!
  13. Needed to let off a bit of steam after a steady drive there ;) (and race that motorbike that was on my chuff!) nice to meet u matey, chequers seems like a pretty good place, I imagine it would be pretty top in the summer, pitty I gotta wait till next year now to give ti a try :( (if I can ever find it again!) See u soon mate.
  14. Hi guys, Just on my way back from the bristol meet. Saw a jag xk8 on the way home on an unlisted private stretch of road, looked similar to the motorway. He was being a bit of a twat and under taking me and cutting me up then slowing down for a bizzare reason. Anyways after a while, I called him a ****er and floored it, it seemed like within seconds, 140+ was on the clock, the revs rising to the red line. I was confused that my car wasnt changing gear, it was pulling like **** and I was happy about that but confused as to why I had no fourth gear? I slowed up confused. Then saw the yellow light on the dash, DOH! What a twat lol, must have been one of them subconscious actions turning it off lol. But anyway, other than me being a nob. Have you auto drivers ever floored it on the motorway with OD off? my god it flies, I can not beleive how well third pulls to 140 from about 70mph, its like second gear to 90 all over again. I was gobsmacked! I uaually always have OD on on the motorway because of the high speeds and fuel economy, but with it off third is a complete demon all the way to the red line!!!!! and probably well into it! Call me stupid, but its not often you get the chance to accelerate to over 140 with overdrive off, by then it usualy changes you into fourth, but there is no need :D
  15. oh and btw, a volvo 850 t5 is a good match for a stock 350z or 300zx with the 250 hp it has. I was going to get one as a spare car as they go for about 2.5k :D nice kit for the money.
  16. True, having said I hate civics and generally people who drive type r's. (For some reason they think they have just bought they keys to the fastest car on the road, 'cause da ones in da F&F woz well good aiiiiiiiii so mine mus be wicked, bling bling') they are a prety nippy point to point car, but only because they have the build quality of a go cart, and that was done by accident not intention lol.
  17. awwwww lol, poor fella. What a dum question tho.

Ian mate, sell your Z31 and buy a Z32 that would sort it. HTH. ;) lol only jking mate! The brakes on Z32's are pretty cheap now, I would just buy a SH set, and give it a go, if you cant fit then chances are you can sell em to the s13 boys for the same if not more than you paid anyways. Cheers Steve
  19. I would mate but your a bit far away, how about you start to remove it and if you get stuck drive it down to me? ;)
  20. 350z is a little disapointing for me, ill tell you why in a mo. Its a nice car all in all, (much better than the afore mentioned hairdressing audi TT's and the all too common so call, sporty BMW's). My reason I dont like it too much is, the styling is following the genre of every other modern car that out atm, its soft. When you see one in the rear view mirror it looks like a honda civic on heat (which is funny youll see why later), it doesnt comand you to get out of its way like the old 300 does. The awesome presence of the 300 on the road, can not be matched. The 350z looks to the passer by to be in the same league as a new audi or something similar. It just doesnt shout out at people (and these views are common in people I have met and spoken to that dont even own a 300). The power is disapointing. Its good compared to a lot of average modern cars, but having said that, we are now getting a lot of manufacturers going back to their routes and producing faster cars instead of the crappy era of gti's etc that dawned the end of fast cars such as the cosworth, 300zx, etc. Compared to todays top line up of cars from the manufacturers it fairs pretty well; Nissan 350z GT 27000 276bhp 0-60 5.3 Subaru 2.0 WR1 STI 29000 315bhp 0-60 4.3 Golf V6 R32 23000 237bhp 0-60 6.4 Volvo T5R 36000 310bhp 0-60 5.7 Audi TT 3.2 V6 28000 240bhp 0-60 6.2 Focus RS 20000 215bhp 0-60 6.2 Honda NSX 60000 276bhp 0-60 5.5 Renault Clio V6 27100 255bhp 0-60 5.6 BMW M3 Coup 41000 343bhp 0-60 5.0 Vauxhall Monaro V8 29000 381bhp 0-60 5.4 Vauxhall VX220 27000 216bhp 0-60 4.2 Porsche 911C 60000 380bhp 0-60 4.8 Honda S2000 27000 246bhp 0-60 6.0 Civic Type R 16000 215bhp 0-60 6.6 And price wise too, but as you can see there is no shortage of competitors for this car. The big problem is for me, when we were in my brothers civic type R, (he bought for 14k as he works for honda) we actually had a race with a 350Z off the mark to about 80 near junc 16 m4, toward malmesbury, (lots of twisties) he couldnt loose us at all, and we cained him round the twisties :(, my brother found him self having to ease off round the corners for the Z to go round them. And I hate civic type R's too, I absolutly anayalate my brothers civic off the mark, and was so upset when the 350 put up a poor show :( (mind you he does do well on the corners!) I've no doubt when we were getting to 80mph teritory the Z would have pulled big time on a straight, but, when it hit the corners at about 80 he could not go faster than us. For a 16k hot hatch to keep up with a 27k sports car, well its just :XXX: My personal thoughts, I could find much better cars for 27k. But then I hate new cars, because they are more so money pits than old ones, the thousands of pounds lost in the first few years ownership, is usualy more than it would cost to buy an older, better looking, faster car and maintain it for the same amount of time.
