  1. You need fluid in there first before you can bleed it through, or you'll just suck more air through.
  2. Cheers mate. Gonna rip her apart again this weekend. Only problem might be, if the plate isnt on behind the timing pulley, is getting the ******* off!!!!
  3. When I did the cambelt I was worried about the position of the belt on the crank timing pulley. Checked the online manual and there should be a sapcing plate behind the pulley. Didnt notice it when I did the job, but the front one was on there. I think the timing pulley is too far back allowing the belt to rub on the front plate that is there. I think it sounds worse than it is, cause the old belt doesnt look too worn on the side, just a little shine to it. It does go after 5 mins, but Im def gonna take it apart and sort it.
  4. Gotta rip her apart as think we've sorted where its from!!!
  5. Its ok, I found what I wanted on the manual now. Thanks
  6. Does the timing pulley sit on a step in the shaft or is there a spacer behind it?
  7. HOw about MJP in the traders section?
  8. I got a tracker monitor fitted. £299 fitted, £119 a year subscription Theres other models that cost more, theres one coming out where you can actually go online and see where you car is, been told each time you do this though it costs money. Good if someone steals it as you can go round the house and beat f**k outta them!!
  9. I know its not major problems, but I've already had one Zed die on me. I can just see things going all tits up again, lol. But im changing my mind now, I dunno, ahhhhhhhhhhh
  10. £500 is that all. I payed £1500!!!!!!!!! DOH
  11. :headvswal :headvswal :headvswal :headvswal :headvswal :headvswal
  12. Is it running on all 6 cylinders?
  13. On my second Zed now, thinking it was all spot on after having a real sh1t first one. Not having much luck with my second one now. I've only driven home and to a meet in it. Paying loads of insurance and that and its just sat in the garage. Its just this squeal/whine on start up thats p1ssing me off. I've just spent loads on fixing what I thought it was and it wasnt. Just seem to be thowing money at em and not being able to drive em. Nothing else is wrong with it and once its fixed it'll be fine. I know its an old car and that thinks happen etc..etc.. read all that before buying one, but im just really p1ssed off with this one now. Just thinking into the future and want money to do other things, just with a house and this car thats all I do. Considering once I fixed it selling it and buying something that I can drive! And the new battery in there fooking died too!!!! Nothing goes right!!!!
  14. Can they squeal/whine??? and then why would it go quiet? I understood the springs stopped rattle.
  15. That happened to me, battery had 1.7 volts.
  16. Sorry, maybe didnt make it clear. There no belts on so water pump and p/s pump isnt spining. No a/c on the car so no belt there. The only thing left spinning is the CAS and engine internals. The whining is still there after its warm, just its a lot quieter and you stick your head under the bonnet to hear it.
  17. Things arnt going good in the world of zeding!!! On my second one now which was spose to be a real good one. This squeel that the engine had that starts after about 3-5 seconds is still there. Thought is was cam belt idler bearings, which were fooked on inspection, so changed all of those and its still squeeling. Had taken alternator/water pump and p/s belts and it still fooking squeels. So really im only left with the CAS or what else, oil pump?? Any other ideas as im well p1ssed off with zeds now!!!!!!!!
  18. Putting the cambelt on now and the released the auto adjuster and it was reluctant to push out, so I helped it and out she came. But it doesnt stay pushing hard, it has a bit of back play, about half a mm if you push on the belt. I dont think thats right, im sure it should be tight all the time, but wanted to ask you lot before I put it all back togther again.
