Thinking about the move
I read a lot of auto box's fooking up, but then people come on here to ask questions when the fook up, not to say they are working. But I have to say, it seems to be more auto than manual.

Cam shaft sensors
Looking at engine, the left one. The wires just been chopped. Like I said, engine seemed to be running fine. Well, till it blew coolant everywhere, lol.

gearbox change
I've dropped a manual box that wasnt that hard. I think the torque convertor makes the auto box a little harder, but not 100% sure.

Thinking about the move

Dont worry about all that, how much ££££ you earn a year, lol. standard clutch is around 300bhp. I guess your on about the cam 'belt'... A guess on box, 500bhp? Short wheel base is spose to be the most desirable. i prefer the look of the LWB myself. LWB has 4 seats, if your really small and can fit in the back. SWB 2 seats. No difference in engine, just TT's and NA's. Some SWB have slicktops (no targa) more rigid, better handling, but I prefer the targas for summer!

Cam shaft sensors

Its Time To Say Bye Bye Tweedy
I did mine. Its not too bad a job. Door cards are a little tricky (had some help from people that had done it before) Dont take the tweed off the door cards, just cover straight over, cause the tweed is sponge backed and if you peel it off, you will rip bits of sponge out and not have a smooth surface. The worse bit is trying to remember where all the screws go to hold all the interior back together, lol. Oh and the little bit to the left of the glove box is tricky to get creases out of too!

Fitting h/g's
There may be something in there, but didnt want to disturb the packaging! I've just read about them on what they say to do. They say they have a special coating on them to help seal.

Cam shaft sensors
One on each side at the back. One of mine has the wire chopped. Obviously the cars been running like that and seems ok. Shall I just leave it running on the one or shall I sort it so both run. Dont wanna put the rocker covers on and have to take them off again! I have standard cam pulleys. Oh and cams as far as I know.

Fitting h/g's

Cometic head gasket
