  1. A small puller to get the bottom crank pulley off. Some people say hit it off with a hammer....up to you. Thats all I can think of. Not too bad a job really.

I work saturdays, so couldnt do the drive, but in a Skoda I wouldnt want to show you all up anyway. What time would the curry be, could possibly make that!!!! mmmmmmmmm curry.
  3. Perhaps the EGR, but thats in the bin now anyway! Just trying to minimise potential leaks.
  4. I've got a Greedy E01. So it should be fine?!
  5. MJP trader on here
  6. lol, she didnt have much to say to that! Loved the "mouth loving" expression
  7. Whats going to make the engine work harder, a viscous coupling or load on the alternator from the electric fan?
  8. My car has been fine on the old rad and viscous fan at 400bhp at fly. Getting a Koyo now, so should bemore than enough!!
  9. Lets hope it works, lol!!!
  10. On the 'go advanced' reply page, click the blue globe with the white chain link. Put in what you want to be displayed on the page, then click and put in the link and click. Piece of cake.
  11. Lol, I try to be helpful....but im useless
  12. Cool, they arnt being used anyway. Gonna take em off and bin em. Just odd why who ever did the last job disconnected one and not the other.
  13. Its a sealed unit and doesnt use engine oil. Its got a spring to push out and some sort of oil damping system or something HERE £175 for a new unit.
  14. I got some battery terminal spray, but vasaline is fine. Theres also a specific battery terminal vasaline, got some at work, but wether its just the same with a different name I dunno.
  15. The solenoid things on the plenum to engine bracket on each side of the engine. Something to do with the old dump valves? Ones connected and one isnt, so im just going to dump them both and block up the relevant holes. Apart from that, the engine is 99% back together now, just waiting for some hose clips to turn up for the coolant pipes. One thing I noticed on the pass side turbo, the coolant pipe on the back of the engine. people put a little piece of pipe to a metal pipe, then another peice of pipe from that to the next metal pipe (if that makes sense) why not use just one peice(less joints)?????
  16. I like that programme, but they always give the story away too fast, they could make the surprise better!!
  17. I dunno, you like your garage so much...............
  18. The left side will be hotter as thats where the water comes back into the rad. Half way on the standard temp gauge is normal. 100deg/c on the aftermarket seems a little high. should be around 90. But unless you try a third theres no way of telling which ones lying!!! Can you take the cap off straight away and it doesnt blow in your face? You havnt got the coolant level too high have you? I once did and when I stopped after driving, I lifted teh bonnet and coolant was coming out the cap, took it off and it didnt blow everywhere, which I thought was odd.
  19. Have to get mine MOT'd once its back together. Hope mine goes straight through too!
  20. Boooo you find good things on your car, I find problems. lol
