  1. I use a 50/50 mix of blue universal eskimo coolant(silkolene) and DI water. Isnt 50/50 right?
  2. Dont get zinc fitting hoses, pay for stainless!!! Nothing 300 is cheap.
  3. I bought a new bearing for the other one when I changed the cam belt. One thing I did notice with the old one was when you pulled on the belt, the plunger moved back in a little bit. Spose it was worth buying a new one.
  4. 20-30 psi on tickover is normal when warm.
  5. I've turned the engine over and it all seems fine. The tensioner hasnt moved out anymore. Its just stayed at the setting when I pushed it on my hand. The movement of the belt where it says to check is within tolenrace. Just seems like I wasted £175, lol.
  6. I bought a new one as I thought the old one wasnt very good. Just put the new one on, think I dont it how the manual says, let the bolt out that holds the tension in, and it never really pushed out. Thats why I bought a new one as the old one didnt do that. Do they not push out, only not stop pulling back in. Or dont they push as hard as I think they will?
  7. I dont think we will go, we are driving down to past bridport the weekend after, so dont want to do it twice in a row. Sorry.
  8. You sure its not just the sun heating the car up and thats whats doing it. For the heat to travel all along the linkage from the gearbox and up to the gear knob, it would have to be fooooooooooking hot.
  9. Apparantley theres some chart with the different types on? Kinda rings a bell
  10. Saw the trailer at the cinema the other day. Will be watching it for sure!
  11. Sounds overly complicated, cheers!!! lol
  12. Taken off the top cover and found a number. 2M50 9Z27N - well looks like that. Also got a little nissan logo. Take it these are stock, does anyone know?
  13. How they hell do they work. Took one out to re seal and it isnt attatched the the cam shaft in anyway. Is it optical or something??
  14. They did that on mythbusters and it never sucked anything in like people say. All it did was blow things along a bit. Still wouldnt wanna try it out for myself though!!!!
  15. Dump the EGR, I am, just block up all the holes. I think someones already dumped my AIV's as well. All the electrical connectors are a PITA when taking the engine out, I think most of my time was marking them up!
  16. Ok, seems like im getting NM and ft-lb confused as well. Same as standard it is. Thank Andy! be fooked without you, well my car would, again, lol.
  17. Looked like one of those funny star torx things, lol Torque each to 90 ft-lbs in the pattern and manner noted in the factory service manual 3 times. So thats do up, un do three times? How comes its much less ft-lbs to standard head bolts?
  18. I think that car is a superb example just how it is!!! If you wanna spend money on a Zed then I can do that for you, lol.....
  19. And what are the torque settings and procedure to do them up please. Thanks.
  20. Is just plain silicone hose ok for coolant, or do you really want the 3ply stuff?
  21. Anyone got the star tool they can lend me to do them up with. 1/2" drive? thanks.
  22. Ok, cheers Greg. Much appreciated.
  23. Is this one version fits all? ie NA or TT, left or right head, doesnt matter where they go?
