NZR car tax
buy a battery powered 1 so you dont have to pay a penny car tax! as the coneheads who run this twisted country havent yet realised that charging a battery draws lots of electricity, which is generated by power stations, which emit lots of carbons! :xxx:

Air con removal POLL
but what are the benefits? are the power gains really worth it?
-
Air con removal POLL
iv always had it on my zeds and like it, never experienced the power gains so im not too bothered about removing it. would be nice to have the pump on a total release clutch so that it zaps nothing when off :) i dont think mine has been used much as when i switch it on it smells fookin awful!

what can I import for 14K
for that money i would go for an r33 gtr... but think about it carefully because if your anything like me, you will have it for a few weeks, youll settle into the new community of skyliners or whatever you chose and youll be itching to spend another 10k on mods/tidying up! if i had the money for a lambo, i garuntee i would still be scrimping as much as poss to modify it! i went through the same thoughts when i sold my last zed... i came to realise that i dont just want a nice looking fast car, i want one a can customise. the zed is a lot of car for the initial money nowadays so provides a perect base to modify from... it wont cost you any less to modify your new car to how you want it... just a thought and another perspective! Pointers on buying a 300zx?
whatever the insurance companies say... as long as you are a member of this club, i reckon jdm parts will always be easier to get hold of than uk spec parts! 5k is a good amount to spend and you will find some very tidy models for that. limiting yourself to a swb may cause issues actually finding one as they are rarer than the lwb. also, you will find difficulty in sourcing many swb parts. your insurance man may have referred to the rear screen of a swb z having to be imported? (i cant see why the front screen is any different uk or jdm... maybe just the tint?) Joel

OMG! - Look at it now
lol ok... i always remember jim from the old days... iirc correctly he started out cleaning aircraft @ fls.. he then ended up being employed as a painter with them as his brother was a painter there too.. somehow he managed to work his way from there to a management position and now he is uk line manager for srt!

OMG! - Look at it now
you might be referring to sam samad, or perhaps jim kirby?

Hi All
i see you have put a wanted ad up saying that you only want to spend 2k... im not gonna put you on a downer and say it cant be done, but for the money you are about to part with be very careful! 2k is a lot of money and you could easily find yourself having to spend that again...this type of car will cost you an arm and a leg when it goes wrong... and generally, it is a 'when' it goes wrong situation! just my little bit of advise :) Joel
