  2. lol i know that feeling, made the mistake of volunteering for an aircraft fuel tank entry course when i was working at bournemouth, guess who got the jobs in the tanks after that! kerosene is very much like diesel :)
  3. youd have to lose that spoiler though james, your drag co-effiecient would be through the roof and you would be holding the shockwave forward... then again, once youve gone over the speed of sound it will probably happen anyway... along with your bonnet, your wings, your pipework, your intercoolers, your door skins...
  4. they have dropped tremendously, dvd camcorders seem to start around the 180quid mark... though im thinkin itll just be summin i use once then gets buried in the cupboard, might spend 200 quid on the zed instead!
  5. ever been ripped off buying a car? if you have visit... http://www.theautomotivehitmen.com ... we have the answer to all your quibbles!
  6. glow plugs are like spark plugs, they take a while to warm up from cold though, thus the glow plug light on diesels! i see where your coming from on the second part but in another sense they are more highly strung engines and generally get driven with a drive it like you stole it type manner!
  7. halfrauds ripoff :smash: how can you watch a dvd on that screen anyway! better off buying a decent headunit... though halfrauds arent bad when u have a trade card, 'car servicing' items dirt cheap! they have over a 50% mark up to the average paying customer... one of the worst ones i think i found was a pack of assorted spade connectors, normal price £2.99, trade price 40p!! LoL :xxx:
  8. LMAO, better get a good sleep before we set off then, thats a long old drive!
  9. i would agree tbh, any engine thats is good from the factory, petrol or diesel, should last a very long time if it is maintained as it should be :) as for the smoke thing, i think its just the nature of the gases that are burnt?
  10. cut and paste from a google... MYTH: Diesel engines run for thousands of hours before requiring major maintenance. Diesel engines gained the reputation for longevity based on their use in continuous operation such as trucking, generators and commercial vessels. Diesel in trucks and commercial vessels can run for thousands of hours because they often are run continuously without ever being shut down, or shut down only infrequently. Without going into a technical explanation, this is what accounts for long life in commercial applications. That does not mean, however, that they last longer in terms of the calendar: commercial engines run for vastly more hours, but have to be rebuilt just as frequently by the rising and setting of the sun.
  11. the burger king planet!
  12. like dave... get in there buddy!
  13. I am looking to buy a camcorder and after looking around i really have no clue what to go for! One that records straight to DVD or to SD card, one with super duper zoom... Does any1 have some advice on what to go for?... nothing special, only wanna spend £200 quid or so. cheerZ Joel.
