  1. athene is always watching... look at that eye... it sees everything!
  2. they must be able to prove it... else they wouldnt have done it!
  3. a friend of mind owns a body/paint shop and he does custom paintjobs for magazines etc... he is trying to get a concession to continue using cellulose paints as the type of work he does is not available in waterpaints, not sure how much research/development companies like 'house of colour' are doing into producing crazy waterbased paints or even if it is possible...
  4. daves case is different... were not talking 100's of thousands here so its easier to write off... if he paid cash in then they have absolutely no comeback let alone any way of tracing it, the other high figure cases would have been transfered and traceable... its not as if they scan each note for each transaction so they know who paid what notes in! you have a signed receipt to say you paid 2200 in so if your conscience can handle it, smile and take the money... have you not played monopoly... 'Bank error in your favour.... collect £1000'
  5. some1's doin alright ;)
  6. i normally just sit up on the mound somewhere, always thought the view was good enough from there :)
  7. so is the cluster arrangement different, or do they utilise the jdm curb marker bulb for the sidelight bulb, or do the indicators permenantly light up with the lights on?
  8. any1 know if these are available to purchase in the uk? also... has this car got its hazrds on, or do us spec cars have the sidelights in a different place?
  9. i get the feeling that a fair few people will turn up this weekend... they will ask some billing officials who will direct them to the area its supposed to be where a handful of poeple will be pitching tents lol!
  10. youve bought it now so give it a go... if it does end up looking pants after a few weeks then invest in the foliatec stuff :) im sure itll be fine though
  11.   wind up!
  12. you dont have a plate at all on the front?
  13. nice purchase matey... dont recognise it myself :) welcome to the club
  14. Carl... Funky-Si has done an FAQ on how 2 refurb wheels ... however, this is just for repaint, yours have a polished rim right? If this is the case, to get the best finish they need to be diamond cut on a lathe, which unless you have access to such hardware, could be a problem :p I have the same problem with my 18's from my old zed... the laquer got stonechips on it, which in turn allowed moisture onto the polished lip which began to tarnish/corrode then spread and lift more laquer... I paid a visit to a company called KO alloy wheels just north of the m25 up the a10, they had some rather exotic cars outside so i think they are a reputable company... they are prolly a little more expensive than your average refurb place but they do the polished lip thing properly. Furthermore... lol (made myself giggle with the formal paragraph opener!) they do NOT laquer the polished lips on their refurbs... the laquer lifts too easily unless you key the polished lip which ruins the polish... and people neglect to protect the bare alloy surface once moisture is in. He recommended to me that i have them done and polished, then spray the lip with hairspray creating an invisible barrier to protect the rim, if done regularly they should stay fine. Im sure there are plenty of other methods to protect them though. I think at the end of the day though, polished wheels on a daily drive is prolly not the best idea and a high power silver colour would be the way forward :)
  15. speak to mac1 :) hes been through almost every conceivable option!
  16. lol, mine is lacking a power plant atm! i hope si gets it... this has his name all over it
  17. good contrast, i like it... what wheels have you got on it atm?
  18. 142.819... using your cheat :p
  19. that would look lurvlee on your colour... paint the nissan bit red?
  20. you should mix a little at a time... enough for each caliper
  21. are you talking 100% original as that would narrow it down to very few members, such as gio, in this months 'car of the month' competition... however, if your talking subtle modifications such as funky-si (wheels, exhaust).. then you open up a big field of candidates... Get in there funki-si, he hasnt mentioned that your colour isnt wanted and imo the pearl white is strong colour... i would also expect Steve-300zx to step forward for this but its a hefty journey for him... you work in southampton alot right Si? so its only round the corner for ya... heres ya big break!
