  1. its been like that for as long as i have been here :)
  2. tell me about it... i bought mine from danny for 250 in the last group buy... 1 week later he revealed the 99 quid delivered kits :headvswal if i would have waited i would have the dipped beams, main beams and 15 large doners kebabs for the same price!
  3. i have pm'd him a link to this thread for you :)
  4. some good advice there, cheerZ bud :)
  5. de ja vu for you mr si... many variants are the same huh!
  6. indeed with the front bumper off it is easy... yes just 4 bolts... can i offer you some advice though... on both sides, the bolt inboard and aft (ie the one closest to the back of the nose panel) is the pita bolt to remove when the bumper is on because its hard to get to the head through the structure and gubbins... on these 2 bolts (1 each side) grind out a slot on the tail of the bolts so that in future it can be wound out from the top using a flat blade screwdriver. (i just used my dremel for this) it will make life a hell of a lot easier and save your knuckles if the time did arrise where you need to remove it with the rest of the car in 1 piece :)
  7. i would have thought you be able to see through trees with a hid main beam!... i just dont think many people do it as they have always been so expensive. now with the cheaper versions available im sure we will see alot more of it :)
  8. that thief should be shot... who in their right mind steals a gto? in all seriousness though, i hope they find the car and the t**ts that twoc'd it... as we well know this sort of crime very rarely leads to a conviction :(
  9. i used the mrs's hairdryer.... plenty of patience and the glue eventually becomes tacky again. its no where near as fiddly as the rear light clusters but just be careful not to crack the glass whilst prizing. if its too stiff keep heating it eventually comes off a piece of cake :) give the whole unit a good clean too once its apart and stick some of them little silicon bags under the plastic to absorb the moisture... then just ensure its well sealed on assembly. re-heat the glue to put it back together, then what i did was run a bead of clear silicon sealant around the join once bonded back to be sure of a good seal. have you taken the headlamp out yet? thats the hardest part imo ;) HTH
  10. lol i noticed straight away as i remember staring at your front bumper when you were following me around silverstone!... cheemas car isnt it?
  11. was yours the airbag model though? cant see them beeing readily available at a sensible price... id agree that a retrim would be the way forward :)
  12. there are quite a few companies that will retrim your wheel for you... there an old thread somewhere on this...
  13. kin ell... that guy was bloody good!
  14. wilkommen mit einen forumenziggen 300zx.co.uk
  15. turb0z's car is a lovely colour... as you can see by our sigs... it is a mirror paint job so it just reflects the colours of the cars around it! awesome!
  16. though the postcode is incorrect, as is the town name so if you did try and post a letter it would prolly never arrive... however, there is a place in cambridgeshire called Chatteris.. so it could just be a typo, but the postcode is still definately incorrect! heres a pic...
  17. its about an hour north of london in cambridgeshire
  18. but it was booked into the garage with the consent and choice of the seller as he doesnt have the facilities to do the job properly.
  19. you buy a car from a trader with 6 months warranty... a week or so after the purchase you find that the engine is actually buggered and a new one is needed... the car is booked in to a garage to be repaired but because of awaiting the availability of another engine the car is in the garage for a long period of time... when i do eventually get it back there will be next to fook all left of the warranty period so if the new engine causes any probs i would have to fit the bill... so basically since purchasing the car iv hardly driven it and had to seek permission from the person i bought it from to join the z parade at silverstone. any advice welcome :)
  20. i wouldnt either as i robbed it from some1 else :p
  21. wheres my reward?
