  1. you shouldnt go above 5psi... be prepared for lots of oil leaks now!
  2. wouldn't it depend on what ebc it was?
  3. a good zed can be very hard to find... you have obviously set yourself a criteria of 'must haves' but you should be prepared to sacrifice one in order to buy a decent base to work from. the gearbox is prolly the best of the major criteria to compromise with as it can be relatively easily changed. if it was a must have to be a swb and you bought a lwb then the chances are you won't modify it to become a swb :1eye: similarly, n/a or tt preferences would also mean a lot more work and money to put right (not to mention the fact you already have an na!). so, i would say that if you have found a genuinely good car that ticks all the boxes other than being an auto... buy it. that way you will experience the auto for yourself and can make your own decision. if/when the autobox fails you can look at converting it to manwell for around 700 notes (excl. labour), or if you really dislike the auto just convert to manual and sell the autobox. having owned an auto and a manual zed i deffo prefer the manual 90% of the time, the other 10% is mainly when crawling along in traffic when an auto box is such a bonus!
  4. plane drops out of the sky = minor injuries! http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/8150639.stm
  5. 10/10! gurt lush
  6. great news... sell them on ebay!
  7. only if you put it in sideways with the top pointing left and the bottom pointing up on the 3rd height setting
  8. welcome buddy... looks like a tasty example you got there... get some more piccies up :D
  9. thats not mine bud, just a pic from google images. i did find a supplier when i was looking to get one a while back though.
  10. true true... bombing is the way forward. i'm sure a member on here is an aircon engineer?
  11. what rpm does it settle down to when warm? the smell is from bacteria in the aircon system... get your aircon flushed and regassed and it should sort it.
  12. not yet bud, but i very much intend to when i upgrade my boost. i know what you mean though about the factory fitted look, everything i do around the car has to look as oem as possible. my din slots have a 8" widescreen touch monitor fabricated into them for my carpc setup (which is an absolute nightmare to try and look oem) so i don't have room there but have been pondering on a location for some time. tbh this is where the greddy ebc jumps ahead as its more compact and i believe, fits nicely into the centre console digital clock cutout... though thats still no good for me as i've flushed that :bored:
  13. no worries, try and get yourself the rarer black model... looks nicer in the car imo :D
  14. my council (and probably all councils nationwide) decided that it would cost less to pay out the people who claimed compensation for car repairs caused by damaged roads then it would to get the roads repaired!
  15. take them to a machine shop and get them skimmed/turned down, will be a fraction of the cost of new discs and will prove whether they were the culprit or not. if it does fix the vibes and they are not badly worn then they would be good to go on a few more miles...
  16. as paul says the centre shaft has a flat on it to stop it from spinning to undo the nut. chances are it will be too tight to hold that with a spanner so mole grips are prolly your best option. obviously you need to clamp the springs beforehand. last time i changed springs that had been installed for sometime, i used an air impact wrench to shock the nut lose, then wound it the rest of the way with moleys.
  17. charlie from surrey rolling road told me that the most reliable and accurate ebc they have experienced (which would be lots!) is the apexi avcr.
  18. i think you'll find the swb is the larger market in the us?
  19. i like the overall picture of that however id change... the oem indicators as they dont really compliment the style the nose panel to a smoothed jobbie widen the intercooler inlet ducts a little get rid of the doorstep lip on the rear bumper and have a more subtle style diffuser arrangement (like the twinz) black roof no gay badge on the wings
  20. cmon, i thought id give him the benefit of the doubt!
  21. has any1 noticed who is actually selling that conversion kit?... its andyz@supercarparts
