Plasma TV help anyone
Yep thats exactly why I decided on plasma as I could really notice the difference on standard definition which is what I will be watching on it 90% of the time but comparing Full HD plasma against Full HD LCD I couldn't notice much of a difference other than a lot of the cheaper LCD's juddering. Even if I had Sky HD at £60+ per month there's not that much new stuff to watch on a weekly basis. I loved the top end Sony LCD's but they were going on for £4K which is just silly when it didn't look any better than a plasma half the price. I download a lot of movies but at the moment 1080p is not really an option at 20GB+ per movie! I recently downloaded Casino Royale and it took over 2 weeks on a 20 meg connection LOL BluRay disks are still a rip off at the moment so I can't afford to buy too many of those when new releases are up to £30 a go. I signed up to LoveFilm online and rent a couple of BluRay disks a month for £3.99 and copy them to hard drive on my media centre PC ;) Bargain.

Plasma TV help anyone
A lot of it is down to personal taste in what kind of picture you like but just make sure you watch standard and high definition pictures on them as some that give a great HD image look absolutely terrible on standard TV or Sky. Also Sky transmit all their channels at different bit rates so have a flick through a few channels as the main ones like BBC etc tend to look much better. Ask to see a fast action scene on BluRay to really test it to the limit - this will show you if its going to start juddering and blurring.

Plasma TV help anyone
I've just got the 50" version and after searching all over the UK I actually found it cheapest in Harrogate a mile from my house  Paid £1299 for it when it was over £2K in the local Panasonic dealer  http://www.digitalconnexions.com/ Mounted it on the wall and set all the cables into it and it looks gorgeous. After a lot of research I got the TH-50PZ70B as I thought the picture was way better than any of the LCD's I saw, espcially on standard definition TV and Sky which is still what you'll be watching 90% of the time at the moment. IMO unless you are going to spend over £2K (at discounted online prices) on an LCD the picture just isn't as smooth, even with 100Hz technology. If you are going to wall mount it don't buy the bracket in the shop or you'll probably be ripped off big style! I've seen them costing up to £350 in shops and got mine off eBay for £20!! The difference in the 2 Samsung's is the resolution: HD Ready means it's not Full HD 1080p which is the highest spec available. If you fancy getting a BluRay player then that's 1080p output but you can watch it in the lower 1080i or 720i resolutions you just lose a bit of detail. I personally didn't want to get anything less than the best but that's why I'm always broke  Give me a ring mate or come and have a watch of mine.

Good choice! :D

Exhaust systems again. single vs dual?
Two big bore pipes has got to be better on a high power car than trying to get all that air out through one pipe. Either way, a single pipe just looks like the other one fell off  Just doesn't look right IMO unless you are having the rear bumper modified to hide the fact.

Advice on.. Changing Power Steering Pot
It's dead easy but very messy. Try to drain the fluid with a syringe or syphon it out of the pot if you can then get plenty of old rags around the wing to soak up the fluid when you unscrew it. When you refill it you will have to start the engine and turn the wheel from lock to lock a few times and keep topping it up to get all the air out of the system.

oil pressure....
I haven't been under the car in ages but I'm pretty sure there is one right next to the stock sender. It's all down to the size of the sender if it fits though, not just the thread.

ola from spain
Are you sure about that???

remember me
Nope doesn't ring any bells LOL

oil pressure....
I had the same problem with one I fitted but I know a lot of people do use them. Tried fitting it a couple of times with different filters etc and just dumps all my oil in no time under power. Drilling the sump is not an option either! There are a couple of spare blanking plugs in the block near the stock oil sender you can use if your sender is the right size.

I'm not sure anyone else makes the Monza apart from SE who aren't trading anymore. Is it not repairable? Did 300ZXstyling.co.uk do them? Site doesn't seem to be working are they still going?

Rat Z
I actually like that though :D LOL

Rat Z
It's worth what you put into it. A rusty old heap might be worth **** all but a well looked after example is obviously worth far more. I never put money into my car as an investment I did it because I wanted it to look this way and because there's very little else could give me such massive performance for the money. You've obviously never driven a well modified example as they are two totally different cars. Things have advanced a lot in nearly 20 years since the Z was first released and "so called experts" know a lot more and have a lot more to work with than they did back then. Nissan had to work to emission laws and create a car that the average owner could handle and afford to run. Some of us want a performance car thats the best it can be and that can compete with modern cars worth 10 times the price :) Why on earth would you want to drive around in a 3 litre battered old example of a stunning sports car? You might as well get a rusty old micra and save on running costs if looks aren't important. I'm pretty sure most people are on this site because they have a lot of love and pride in their car and if they don't I wonder why they would bother coming here?

Anyone on VirginMedia broadband?
A 4MB service would be fine for something like 10 PC's if they are just browsing but even a 100MB service would slow to a halt when downloading a movie as the download manager software will use all the bandwidth to itself unless you change the settings ;)
-
Anyone on VirginMedia broadband?
Very good service and been with them for years. You generally get a much higher speed on cable than with normal broadband. Tends to be a bit more realistic so 4MB is probably better than "up to" 8MB that I've tried. I'm on 20MB. God help you if you ever change your package or have a billing query though they are absolutely useless at sorting things out. They called me the other week to say I owed £250 in unpaid broadband but I pointed out i was on direct debit. Idiots had me down for 2 accounts on the same line somehow and had never sent me the bill for it anyway LOL Unfortunately my GF paid it over the phone! Took 8 calls and 5 weeks to get the money back.

It's not as bad as the Micra C+C! :hurl: The back end is absolutely awful. Why oh why would you want to be seen with the roof down in such an ugly pink car! LOL I've seen a couple in a grey primer colour that is truly minging just to make matters worse.

Banks, Lose in the High Court!
Saw a program yesterday which said that this initial case was only brought by the banks as a delaying tactic to give them time to prepare for the payout after the initial claims came in a year or so ago and made a dent in their profits. It said HSBC were the worst for charges and paid back £115 million last year (for claims going back 6 years) but in the scale of things it's nothing to them as the banks are currently making £10 million A DAY in excess overdraft charges! It said get your claim in now for the last 6 years in readyness as they will be paying out sooner or later.
