  1. Yeah thats exactly what i did in the end, the flange had rusted up inside and they were locked solid. It took 2 hefty chisels forced in to break them apart.
  2. I've actually taken the 4 bolts out that hold the 2 sections together but they are still fixed as though glued or bolted from inside! Do i just need to break it apart? I thought when the bolts came out it would just fall in two!?
  3. Removed the bolt through the middle of power steering pump and 3 smaller bolts to the right but its still not budging. Theres a bolt on the top left behind the pulley that I cant shift. Does it need to come off and if so is it OK to take the pulley wheel off, it seems stuck on tight. I've got 3 of the 4 bolts out of the Aircon compressor but just can't get to the top rear one. Tried a crows foot socket as recommended but even that won't fit :( Any ideas?
  4. How do you get the boots off the front steering/track rods? Mine have both split and need replacing.
  5. I'm removing thhe front propshaft section to get the auto box out but can't seem to get the 2 halves apart :( Am I doing it right? I've taken the centre support bearing off and got the 4 bolts out holding the sections together but they dont seem to want to separate. Is there something i've missed or is it just siezed together?
  6. Last night on the way back from the pub, me and a couple of mates decided to do our bit for national security. You might have seen on the news that one of Saddams relatives is living in Leeds and wants Saddams wife and daughters with 10 kids to come live with him. Well it turns out the guy lives in the same village as my parents and after going to the local the stella gave us a plan that could get us on the national news :D It was too much to resist so we dived over his back garden wall and began our search for chemical weapons. They were well hidden but in the end we found a bottle on the doorstep containing aproximately a pint of lethal looking white liquid! Further down the garden we came accross a bunker made of glass which housed a stockpile of chemical pellets or "slugs" as they were labelled. These were obviously designed for the mass destruction of living organisms! What a result! :D :D :D Chris.
  7. No but I've heard he plays the pink oboe! :D LOL

  21. I'm hoping that won't happen though cos I'm changing from an auto engine and box to a manual engine and box so that shouldn't happen...? Andy still has an auto engine doesn't he? Not that it should make any difference.
  22. Please use them on anyone else who replies to this thread! :D
  23. Here's some info: ASP Pulleys http://www.aspracing.com/frame.htm Pulley Installation http://www.ttzd.com/tech/pulleytech.html Fidanza Flywheels http://www.aluminumflywheels.com/flywheels.html From the figures I've seen I'm hoping for an extra 40bhp ish from these. That's on a stock Z but with more boost the gains can be higher? With my change from auto engine to manual there should be another 20 so when I'm finally back on the road I could be 60bhp up on last time! Maybe... Is this realistic? Not that I'll notice as I haven't really driven the thing since the GPS open day last year :(
  24. Come join the off-road club mate, it's great fun! ;) My UD pulley is going on along with a lightened flywheel so we'll soon see if the shit hits the fan again ;)
  25. I'll start things rolling... It wasn't me ;) :D
