  1. If Ajay messes with this thread I'm going to make her take that engine out herself without axle stands ;) I'd just love to see someone try nicking my Z right now. No engine and the steering disconnected - I think the only thing working is the handbrake and even that's crap! :D
  2. I'm up for this next year if my Z ever transforms it's self from a pile of components on the drive into something that can move under it's own power :D
  3. Is that when you derestrict it then restrict it again? Or is it when it's undies are too tight? Unrestricted? Derestricted? Underestricted? Deunrestricted? :D

I didn't think they would break the record when he said "look it does 130 easy without the caravan" LOL If it doesn't do much more than 130 then how the hell is it going to get a caravan near the record? Should have got a Z on a longer runway IMHO :D
  5. No pics :( I left my camera in Edinburgh so won't get it back off my bro for 2 weeks. Doh!
  6. If you want to take it off I think the usual way is to heat it with a hairdryer then peel it back.
  7. I finally got my engine out on saturday so just need to get the new one in now! ;)
  8. Are the track rod boots filled with oil or grease? What type? Mine have both split badly and dried out :(
  9. I feel quite bad about this one but you had to be there LOL One day when I was about 16 me and my bro were a bit bored of having to entertain our 12 year old younger cousin while she was over for the day with our grandparents. An ice cream van went past and we decided to have some disgraceful fun. We asked her if she'd had one of those new ice lollies called a "penis"! No she said, are they nice? Oh yes we said, everyone loves 'em ;) Go ask grandad if he's ever sucked on a penis and does he like it?! :D LOL So she did and you can imagine he was NOT impressed! Poor girl got a right clip round the ear and a severe telling off LMAO This one's not quite a wind up but has to be told. I went out with my brother on one of his works nights out with BT. We had all had a fair few and were generally taking the piss and checking out the girls who came into the bar. In walked a huge woman who putting it politely was not attractive. My brother turned to his boss laughing and said "F****** hell, that one's yours mate!" "I know" he said, "That's my wife" Things went a bit quiet! She'd come to give him a lift home LMFAO Things you should never say ;) The guy must have had a sense of humour cos my bro still got promoted :D Chris.
  10. So you share with your mate then?! :D
  11. Yeah I only had a few in my inbox but spotted I had hundreds in my Sent Items LOL I didnt even know it saved your sent stuff. Doh! I've had a good clear out this morning and feel much better for it! ;)
  12. I wish I'd known that as someone overtightend my bottom hose and broke off the pipe. I was told I had to buy the complete radiator at £275 :( Also paid that ripoff £40 for the top hose. What a con. Just bought a new rear main oil seal at a tenner and a rubber track rod boot for £20. Our cars must cost a million squids if you built it from Neslon spares!
  13. Well I replaced my PCV's only a couple of hundred miles before the engine went tits up so maybe mine had been cured too but I never got chance to find out. Chris.
  14. If you are getting the 4 round lights then the contain a fog anyway...?
  15. Well as you showed me the offending item at your place recently, I'd say FAKE! :D
  16. How long have they been fitted? I get a bit of oil in my hard pipes but it is normal to a certain extent. If it's building up quickly then I would have thought you would be smoking quite a lot. Just clean it out and see what happens. It can only get worse but doesn't really affect performance until they eventually give up.
  17. If you were running 1.25 you should leave a stock Z standing and get a lot of detonation! Don't know how it could be reading wrong though?
  18. I'd go for the PS2 mate. There's very little in it technically between it and the X-Box. There's a lot more games for kids on the PS2. X-Box games seem to be targeted more to the adult market from what I've seen.
  19. I would think there is oil leaking from the turbo... :(
  20. Vinz has his reasons though and it would really need drilling into him to change his mind ;)
  21. I got the gearbox out and all the pipes and electrics are disconnected so almost ready to lift the big lump of junk out ;) I read in the engine removal tech article on twinturbo.net that you have to disconnect the steering universal joints as part of the process. Is this right as the steering rack seems to be under the engine on the subframe? or is it bolted to the block? If so, how do they come apart?
  22. Well they either got some mods fitted by them or just bought a badge! ;)
  23. I'll be ready to lift the engine this weekend but not quite sure how to fix the chains to it. I called Nissan to get the proper engine slingers but they have to be ordered from Japan with about 6 weeks for delivery :( Does anyone have a pair I can borrow or any tips on fastening the chains without them? Chris.
  24. I vote Big Roy to be "head boy" cos I've heard he's good at it ;) :D
