  1. Now, I’m not usually one to mock other’s peoples tastes in cars – I appreciate everyone has different taste and ‘beauty is in the eye of the beholder’. However, to say the following is a Ferrari ‘replica’ is pushing it a bit far… All yours for a mere £6,000. Bargain…
  2. I really like what you’ve done here. A little while ago I was trying to think of ways of doing this. I don’t see why I should suffer a horrible plastic slide or excessively long shifter, just because the car is an automatic. Is that a standard Zed handle that’s been covered?
  3. I was really tempted by these dials, but was put off by the idea of having to put the needles back on and line them up. I contacted Moman by email explaining what I wanted - 180 MPH (Not KM/H) and they said they could do it and asked for a picture of my dials. This is where I left things. Since then my priorities have shifted towards fixing the car instead of making it look nice…
  4. I'm not much of a fan of the Z31 and agree that they look dated. Stumbled across this listing recently, i believe the car comes with another white Z31 to be used for spares...
  5. I’ve just seen that someone has recently joined the club based in the U.S. with a Z31. This got me wondering how many other Z31 owners are on here. Personally, I’ve never seen a Z31 in the wild and I’m curious to know if anyone here has one, or knows someone who has one? Thanks
  6. I read the majority of these adverts at 01:30 this morning whilst toying with the idea of buying a second zed, with my current one being… erm… broken… Anyway, thought back to it this afternoon and was wondering if I made up the bit about ‘hiecast self-levelling 4-wheel steering’ in some sort of sleepy haze. The guy is so far off the mark it’s hilarious! I’d like to think that anyone who’s looking at a zed would do a bit of research and realised that the guy is talking nonsense…
  7. I found some time Friday to peel away the damaged bodywork and have a look at what lies beneath. Not sure what to make of it at this stage. The frame around the headlight is clearly damaged, and the wheel arch (for use of a better word) has a ‘pinch’ in it. I haven’t got under the car yet or checked the suspension. Think this is the point where I call on a body shop before deciding what to do next. Here's a picture of the wheel arch (not sure if it's actually called a wheel arch but i can't think of what else to call it...) from inside the engine bay And here's a picture from underneath. Also noticed this when i was moving the car...
  8. Thanks Dazsw, and Richard while i'm at it! The car is on my brother's drive and I'm going over tomorrow to start stripping damaged parts etc. I'll be sure to keep the thread updated with any progress i make!
  9. As mentioned in a few other threads, I've had an accident in my zed and i'm in need of a few body parts. If anyone has any of the following parts in silver (don't know the paint code) then can you please contact me to discuss further. Front Bumper (would take a turbo or NA bumper) Passenger wing Passenger door Bonnet Nose panel I should also add that my car is a 1989 Jap NA LWB. Thanks
  10. Didn't even need to click the link to know which one you were looking at. It's a tidy looking car, with the exception of the rear fog lights! I'm currently doing a bit of research for when i speak to the insurance company later today!
  11. Received my pack earlier this week. Thanks.
  12. Thanks, I may take you up on that offer once I know what I'm dealing with under the bodywork. :thumbup1:
  13. Yep, I haven't met Jimmer yet, but it's reassuring to know there's a specialist in the area... especially now! Thanks anyway Ian. For some reason i thought I had missed japday...
  14. I'm in Bristol, so about an hour away from Glastonbury, depending on traffic.
  15. You're absolutely right Jeff, minor in comparison  At first glance I would have said that was a goner...
  16. Guys, I don’t know what to say… After what has been a rubbish few days, it’s been a breath of fresh air coming onto this forum. As fellow zed owners, I was hoping to get some advice to help save my car from the scrap heap. I certainly didn’t expect anyone to start offering up parts. Thank you for all the help and advice, it’s really appreciated. Thanks Lexx for the offer of the headlight, I’ll PM you shortly.
  17. Thanks everyone, I thought most (if not) all of the front end would be the same, but wanted to double check before i buy a load of parts to find out they don't fit for one reason or another.
  18. Don't know the full extent of the damage under the body, haven't ruled anything out at this stage. I'm waiting to hear what the insurance company want me to do before i go stripping it back to see what lies behind the panels.
  19. Evening all, Earlier this week I was driving to my brother’s house when I had an accident in my zed. I was turning right into a side road and failed to see the oncoming vehicle approaching. Fortunately, no one was injured – and suffice to say I feel like a right prat! As you can see from the picture my zed is looking worse for wear. I’m hoping to fix the car myself (with the help of family and friends with the appropriate skills) using second hand parts. I was wondering if there are any differences between the variations of the Z32 I should be considering when looking at parts. For example, will a SWB door fit a LWB car, would a UK wing fit an import, or would a series 2 headlight fit a series 1? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  20. Thanks everyone. Nice to know I have a few options.
  21. Hi Guys, Have a noob question here. Where do you go for OEM parts? I’ve checked the traders section on here and while MJP Eastern is listed as a supplier of OEM parts, they didn’t seem to have much to offer on their website. At the moment I’m after a plenum gasket. I know I can get one from Z Centre, however £12.00 (+VAT) seems a bit steep. Is there anywhere else I could look to get OEM parts, such as gaskets, for this and future jobs?
  22. At best, I think the Mk4 Supra is ‘alright’, although if it was my cash on the line I wouldn’t buy one. Unless I already had all the cars on my ‘wish list’ and I was bored. Then again, the same could be said about most cars.:whistling: Whilst the 2JZ is a cracking engine with lots of potential, there are too many other things I don’t like about the Mk4 that put me off. As Funkysi pointed out, the dash looks awful and I’ve yet to see one with the right combination of bodykit and factory styling that looks appealing to me. If I was in the market for a ‘fast Toyota’ I’d go for a MK2 MR2 Turbo. I currently have an NA waiting to be rehomed to make way for my newly acquired Zed. If I could justify/afford to keep them both I would. The MR2 is a fantastic little car and I’d take one of them over a Supra every time!
  23. Thank you very much sir. Much appreciated!
  24. It was a was (if that makes sense  Thanks anyway!
  25. Was having a hard time finding them but think it was just me being stupid. Thanks!
