  1. I've installed my amp in the car.. but there is a constant winning sound from the speakers. The power cable runs down on the right side of the car and the rest of the cables (speaker/phono - rca) on the left side. I've never had this problem when i've installed my amp in other cars. It seems like it is the altenator??? The wining follows the rev.. Any ide. Bad grounding on the amp????? (but if so, then the amp should not even turn itself on)
  2. I'm going to replace the timing belt on my 1990 300zx that has done 220.000km. Do I need to replace the idley pulleys and auto tensioner??
  3. Does anyone know a good place in Poland to fix a 300zx??Need to replace the timing belt, brake lines and a few other things soo it's 100% perfect. (and the cost is about 1/3 than it's here in Norway :) ) Any hints would be appriciated:)
  4. I have to change the drive belt. The timing belt need chaning sometime to, Just wanted to know if it was a smart thing to change the timing belt now...
  5. The battery dashlight is alway on.. Then the the hicas, abs the the mission oil, diff oil light. doesn't seem to charge.. But heard that some jap cars has a fuse between the battery and alternator.. Is this the case for the 300. If so, where is it located??
  6. Some alternators are without brushes or something..??..., I hope this isn't the case with the 300zx??
  7. Got the same problem with water in the gauges. Turned out that the water came in trough the front window. Remove the pillar. Have someone to help you pourr lots of water on the roof while you are inside the car
  8. Well, the boost/car felt a bit less powerfull after I blocked the orginal re valves and put on some new dump valves. I've got a simple manual boost controll on both turbo. I turned it up 4 notch. Proberly not much, but it should be above 0,6 bar now. Yes the car i chipped. But the needle will not go up to +7 on the dash. That is a bit odd I think. Gping to try with an aftermarket gauge and check. There is also a bit of a whine from the turbo. Begins about 3 - 3500rpm. Leak maybe

  10. I can't some to feel the turbo kick in like I did in my calibra turbo. It almost feels like I'm driving a normal NA car. Is that normal?

  13. I've got a silver HKS turbo timer type 1. I've connected the speed and rpm wire to the ecu. The speed shows up on the timer. But not the rpm. Nada. I remember it said something about a digital signal in the instalation manual and a part needed??
  14. Is there no other way of adjusting the boost without jets or controller?
  15. The car is chipped and I want to adjust the boost to around 0.9 - 1 bar. Only running 0.62bar now. Where do I adjust the boost. There is something at both sides of the engine that looks like it ment for adjustment of the boost. Tried turning it clock wise with my hand. No luck. Seems like it's turned down all the way... No problem turning it the other way though.

  17. I've got something called a DEFA alarm. The alarm will turn itself on after 2-3 min. But I can't lock the doors with the alarm switch when the timer is running. Is there any way to get around this so it might be possible to lock the doors or both - turn on the alarm and lock the doors?
  18. There are two turbos on the 300. One small and one bigger, right? I think I've read somewhere that the boost should not be above 0,9 bar on the original turbos. But is that because of the small turbo? Is it possible for higher boost on the larger turbo?

  21. The needle is fine. It's just the reserve light that's on all the time. Is there any wire under the car that might have a bad connection?
  22. Trying to find some stores i Germany where they sell performance and styling for the 300. No luck so far. Does anyone know if there are any stores in Germany that has stuff for the 300?
  23. Anyone know if the revotec double piston is a good dump valve for the 300?
  24. First time I ran the car low on fuel the light on the dashboard came on. Fueled... and went off as it should. Another time it didn't come on at all... Now it's on all the time... even with full tank?? Any ideas people??? :confused:
  25. I think the standar boost is 0.6 bar?? Anyone know for sure?
