  1. Thanks Fri1 ive sent an email to the supplier who originally supplied the gaskets and various other parts. At the time i raised the same question and he assured me it would be fine. As ive had no experience in building engines ive relied on other people to help. I just hope it all works ok after all this time building this Zed Thanks
  2. Thanks Smithy, I havent got the box no more because i sent them straight to the engine builders. As my original pistons were standard and the rebore is only .5mm they must be 87.5mm pistons. With an 88mm bore gasket that should be about right. Its just the low comp side of things now as like you say ill be running a standard gasket thickness. So ill have a higher or standard compression i think?
  3. Would you think the boost would come in earlier or later due to the compression??
  4. Relating to my other thread on here ( What power to expect ) It has come to me that my head gaskets could be the wrong size and thickness. I orginallly thought standard piston size was 87.5? or is it 87.0? I have a receipt saying that my block was rebored and hatch honed by 0.20 .5mm which made me think it was an 88mm piston overbore. So now my pistons are either 87.5 or 88mm depending on standard piston size? The head gasket supplied to me are of a 88mm bore and of .45 thickness that i was assured was the right spec i needed even with skimmed heads. Ive read a few writeups which makes me think that the bore size of the gasket should be slightly bigger than the piston is that right? Thanks Dan
  5. Edited list! Ive had this issue from the beginning the company who supplied the gaskets I was told the gaskets would be ok due to todays tuning capabilities. Ive always been unsure with this :(
  6. Postage is really silly! My last order was 2 washers which turned up in a A4 size box and stuffed with 3 news paper worth of shreaded paper. Apart from the silly postage prices and sizes they are really good

  9. Loving this build. the camera idea is great
  10. Thanks everyone for your nice replys

  13. Hi just an update for the peeps who was interested in the Carbon parts i had made recently. Pics aint the best quality but gives you an idea Just got to tidy up alot of wiring before final fit.
  14. Mine has nevwer had back seats or seat belts and passed every time
  15. Toyo T1s maybe good tyre but not as soft as the t1r
  16. This guy is trying to pull a fast 1 with someone who doesnt have experience with a Zed. He has updated the listing now lol
  17. I done mine by hand using different grades of sand paper
  18. Depends on how far you want to go? Standalone you can fine tune and adjust with every mod you add in time to come. I dont think you will need a better clutch than the twin plate carbon you have on your spec list. If you wanna sell it let me know :)
  19. Smithy do you still have these?
  20. I think i may of confused a few peeps here sorry. My problem is ive only got 1 AFR sensor when i think i should have 2. I know the guage comes with 1 sensor but im not sure if the ECU comes with one too as its essential for the ECU to have the AFR reading to run the engine. I rang my local tuners today and found out it is possible to use only 1 sensor it just needs alot of messing about with wiring from the guage to the loom. Thanks for your help anyway guys im just got to try and find out where and how the MAP sensor and inlet temp needs to be wired to now lol.
  21. Hi Kash, No my car is still being worked on at the moment but hopefully not long now untill she is finished. Im from Basildon
  22. Hi, Ive bought a second hand AEM ecu and im having trouble working out how its wired. Do all AEM ecu come with the AFR sensor? The reason being ive only 1 sensor, but ive also got the AEM AFR guage that comes with a AFR sensor. Am i right in thinking that i have a sensor missing or can i wire the guage to read the ECU output if i plug the sensor into the ECU? Cheers Dan
  23. No worries i just found them. You was at my mates dyno. Did colin do the work?
  24. Not far from me :). Where can i find the vid and pictures of your car?
