yeah im thinking of using the royal purple oils as the torque increase on yours was fantastic, im getting a turborevs boost controller as well to knock it up to 14/15 psi and get rid of my boost jets, then probably go the electric fan way and uprated intercoolers and hopefully that will push me past 400, im most impressed by the torque tho as thats the real deal for on the road performance, its almost 100 up on original spec

my roling road gave 360bhp and 368lbft of torque on 12 psi with standard internals, it is a good wodge of power, i upped my boost to 15psi which put me almost on 400bhp and the difference was frightening in straight line accell, go drive a 400bhp Z before you decide you want 500bhp as i think 400bhp is as far as i would want to go with a 16 year old road car that isnt gonna be a track monster

hmm might get a boost tester made up, the maf is easy to check if u have a spare one hanging around otherwise i have to buy one :mad:

what recirc valve are ya talking about bud, the blow off valves you mean?

i am running the colder ones already bud, it only used to happen after heavy rain thats why i put it down to the maf

ok just upped my boost to 15psi and it seems there is a problem, when it hits max boost it "feels" like Boost cut, I have this happen when its wet and put it down to vented front panel letting moisture into the filter/maf but now i think my maf might be on the way out, any advice appreciated guys as i know what boost cut feels like and it was the same damn feeling but these dont have boost cut do they?

just the basics really decat and straight through exhaust to back boxes apexi intake chipped 12psi thats it on the power mods really....strong for those mods aint it :dance:

this piccie is the final run of 7, by now the heat soak had set in and the power was at 356bhp, the first run was at 361 bhp so it didnt suffer much heat soak at all

i was gonna go for 16psi and uprated sidemounts as well as aquamist may leave it at 15 and just do the sidemounts then

:dance: :dance: :dance: :dance: :dance: :dance: :dance: :dance: :dance: Just had it roling roaded and when he told me the power i was a bit dissapointed , then he told me my boost gauge was crap as it is showing 16psi and in reality I am only running at 12psi and to top it off the fueling for 12 psi was way rich at .7, so the results with lower boost than i thought and running rich for the boost is 360bhp 368lbft operator believes with boost at 15/16 psi ( he says the fueling curve will support this easily and more importantly safely) I might hit 390 and the last 10hp is for me to find somewhere. Overall im really happy with those results at 12psi the curves are very smooth and in all honesty are very good looking, i dont have a scanner but if i can get a decent photo of the thing done i will put it up

I can honestly say that get a good one and maintain it, mine has had regular oil changes ( 3000 miles ) , weekly checks and routine maintenance, just had its MOT and only failed on split steering gaiters ( original factory items , 16 years old ) and 2 bulbs gone on the rear numberplate , £10 in total to repair, not a problem in the first year of ownership either.

But the good news is it was only steering rack gaiters both drivers and passengers , headlight alignment and no lights on my numberplate. got all that lot done in 2 hrs , retest and bobs your mothers....another year of Z roadgoing :dance: :dance: :dance:
