  1. always worth asking for the photo to actually make sure they have it!
  2. about £8-9k not including purchase cost i reckon
  3. or just rebuild the calipers! LOL! i reckon 9/10 zeds have siezed front pistons! is so much better after rebuilding them :)
  4. no, i looked up an early non programable one!
  5. hybrids are a mix! - hence hybrid LOL! it would use a T25 turbine coupled to a T28 compressor, gives quicker spoolup than a T28 & more flow than a T25!
  6. no probs, your only down the road from me, so give us a shout if you need anything :)
  7. no, i mean really exactly the same! same part no to be ordered for both with same S/W installed!
  8. injectors arnt really needed unless your uprating the tubs IMO, they both max out at about the same time. it prob is a bit safer at high end boost but have been running mine at 16psi on stock injectors & tubs for years now. if you do change the injectors then you can just get 555's that fit straight in - speak to smithy, a trader on here. is it an auto or manual? manual will need an uprated clutch. auto box will need an uprated cooler & a fast road rebuild if/when it blows up!! :D
  9. ok, if it calculates on volume then it would need some way of measuring the volume, & i know there isnt! like i said, there would be too many variables - ie battery voltage differences would effect the volume of fluid displaced, fluid temperatures, position of the pistons in the calipers, etc etc. also have just checked on a early C class merc & they use the same ECU on a bog standard C180 as they do on a AMG36 with much bigger calipers!
  10. yes, but again I cant see for the life of me why an ABS unit would work in volumes!! it holds & decreases pressure, again, it doesnt need to know the volume of fluid its moving! there would be too many variables, its far simpler than that really!
  11. yea, then take a quick blast down to canterbury ;) :D
  12. i hope you mean CO as CO2 should be higher! you need to test to see if the O2 sensors are switching, you should be able to test this with your datascan tool. what readings were you getting?
  13. LOL!! i had one of those as my 1st car!! 1600 Deluxe  until i rolled it down a county lane! :x:
  14. LOL! well I disagree with what that article says!! :p it certainly doesnt tie in with ABS ESP training I have attended. I can see no reason why it would need to calculate the rate of decceleration, it only needs to know when lock is going to occour by comparing wheel speed sensors.
  15. the long intake tracts on a stock manifold are great for low-mid range torque. changing to a stumpy or single collective type manifold would sacrifice this for better high end torque!
  16. most just upgrade the fronts, about £500 for a used set. best place to look is the GTR web site
  17. i agree, cant see that having bigger brakes (or more braking force) is going to make any difference. the ABS control module simply measures each individual wheel speed sensor & if lock up is about to occour the hydraulic unit will kick in to release the pressure. its no different to braking hard with stock size brakes!
  18. that does seem high! a sticking pressure relief valve can cause this. have known hydraulic tappets to be jacked open by very high oil pressures
  19. 51, 62, 68, 69, 82 & 104 - never won as much as a tenner!!
  20. got to be honest - everytime I have used them & had to contact them they have been spot on!
  21. http://www.overclockers.co.uk is spot on for high end stuff mate :)
  22. they could turn it into a "carry on" bionic film!! (or Carey on!!)
