  1. my car felt so much better with more caster, gives a much better feel when cornering IMO
  2. yes mate, thats fine - just go straight round the back to the workshop :)
  3. yes mate, zeds parked round the back - wont fit between the posts they put up the slip road to stop the pikeys parking caravans up there!! got an O2 sensor socket too, pick it up anytime mate :) it can cause hesitation, not normally a dramatic loss of power at full throttle as the ECU will come out of closed loop mode. you can do an O2 test without a Consult on the diagnostic light to see if they are switching
  4. iv got an Olympus 4.0mp camera which i bought a few years back with a fantastic 10x optical zoom lens, picture quality is superb. whatever you choose dont get drawn into a high pixel count camera which compromises on lens quality! :)
  5. as said, the tensioner alone in the uk costs more than the kit!! i imported mine from courtesy in the states, got the full 120k kit
  6. & still waiting for a burger & beer lunch :duffer: :D
  7. that you jason? ;) fairly easy from the top with an O2 sensor crows foot socket & extension. be prepared to replace the boss it screws into (which you can get seperatly no matter what Nissan tell you LOL :D )
  8. had similar reports from my mate, he gave up with them & went with Pipex who im with. you get what you pay for! if its free then dont expect too much LOL! I would rather pay for a reliable service :)
  9. have you got adjustable front tension rods too? essential with roller bearing upper arms to prevent lateral movement. uprated front & rear antiroll bars are meant to be a very good upgrade, i believe the Stillen ones are very good. poly bushing the remaining front & rear bushes will also help
  10. been using Mobil for years in mine without any problem. mine is Synt S, a fully synthetic 5W40 :)
  11. available at Paul C's workshop for £0.................... but only for Paul C :p :D
  12. LOL!! just talking about this on another thread last week!!! was actually the 1st person i spoke to off this forum
  13. my girlfriend!! she also has some nice mods!! :D
  14. well if the garage has access to a scope with the right pickup then anyone could diagnose it! merc diagnostic does make it easier as it may have fault codes listed & also has a smooth running fault counter to detect misfires! ;)
  15. from the nissan manual: front settings rear settings (toe settings on next page) HTH :)
  16. old school bud, old school! ;) :D
  17. yea! been looking at them myself!! :D pretty good cars all in all! only prob is the same as the SLK's, they have the same steering box & front upper & lower wishbone suspension that never feels quite as positive as later mercs that use racks & mcpherson struts :) good well built cars tho, better build quality than the early new shape ones!
  18. wazza, aka 300z - aka buy my 500bhp modded zed for £10k to find its nearer stock :x:
  19. they are a much better car, suspension feels a little tighter than the 230K's. however a new shape 350 is even better! (or better still a new 55AMG :hyper: ) let me know if you are around the canterbury area, will always plug it in for a diagnostic for you mate :)
  20. no way of doing it without a plugin diagnostic reader. you ever down kent way?
  21. every time i have a McD's I remember why I havnt had one for so long!! :hurl: bit like every time when im on the lash & go in the kabab shop & get a dirty old doner! yuk! I even go in there thinking i'll order a 1/4 pounder which are quite nice burgers in the kebab shop but still end up ordering the kebab?!? :slap:
  22. just out of interest, those that have broken their zeds for sale, how much did you make???
  23. you did say "not too many dont do it" comments, not seen one yet so can i be the 1st to say: DONT DO IT!! :nelson:  good luck mate - hope you have a better one than i did! my ex was asking for a divorce in the car taking us from the church to the reception  thats got to be some sort of record!! :D
  24. 125,000 miles now. but thats the other thing - if I sell would many people consider buying at that mileage does anyone think?? its always been looked after & is a great car (injector fault aside :p ) with nice mods that iv done (filter, zorst, chip, boost increase clutch, f/wheel, pulley, RLTC, KYB's & eibachs, adjustable upper & lower arms, 99 spec front etc etc) thought about it all last night & keep changing my mind on what i should do LOL!!
