1. LOL! Perhaps I should have said I personally find it so much quicker, easier & more reliable than a PC :surrender::biggrin: I like the way things just work with my mac - I plug a new printer in & it works, no faffing about setting up drivers etc, it just works. I love how all the software works, everything you need for home apps etc works really nicely IMO. To me things do appear to much quicker - opening web pages etc is much better than my windows machines. & that aluminium body & the quality of the display is just superb! just my experience :tongue_smilie:
2. Hey Stu, hows things? Have you considered a Mac? I picked up a 1 year old imac a while back on ebay for around £600. Never had a mac before but am really impressed with it for home use! Not done it on mine but you can get software to dual boot into windows if needed also :) So much quicker, easier & more reliable than a PC Just a thought Have a good Christmas & keep off the squid legs ;)
3. Yup, all true. Also pretty much all windows on most modern cars have some form of tinting built into the glass so even adding legal level tints will usually put them over the legal requirement if checked (70% light transmission IIRC)
4. you lot just aint looking hard enough ;) http://www.asda-entertainment.co.uk/cd/insane-clown-posse/the-amazing-jeckel-brothers/1070675.html :D
5. Have you actually checked to see if the O2 sensors are working by a consult test or by putting the ECU into diagnostic mode 2? A quick & easy test to see if you have a faulty sensor! :)
6. yea, had exactly the same thing the other day - it works fine if you stream it to your PS3 rather than playing it directly on it.

8. Mines tucked away at work, using a luxury bottom of the range T reg Mercedes A Class auto at the moment LOL! :wheelchair:
9. I really like it! :flowers: Prefer the lines of a regular coupe but prefer it to a 'vert tbh!
10. are you sure you have used a 1 mega ohm & not a 1 kilo ohm resistor ;)
11. BTW - are you actually a tester or are you just passing on pub information?! LOL!!
12. Err - I never said I'm not sure what to do! I would HAVE to pass & advise it & know for a fact that I would be wrong to do otherwise! In fact I would be picked up for failing a car incorrectly & warned about it! If its not in the book then thats it - end of! You can argue all day about what you think is right but I know for a fact that I am right :tongue::tongue: In fact if any tester has been on a refresher course this is one of the things they pick up on & tell testers that it is NOT a reason for rejection unless it is caused by damage or corrosion. Most people think that the MOT is a test to show the car is in good condition - the MOT test is an extremely low standard & a car that passes an MOT simply means that it has met the (low) criteria set out by VOSA.
13. Nope - it is NOT down to the testers idea of what is safe & whats not! There are certain strict criteria for what you can fail on & what you cannot! From the testers manual: Body Condition This part of the examination applies to all vehicles. 4. Examine the body work for excessive corrosion or damage resulting in sharp edges which are likely to cause injury. 4. A sharp edge or projection, caused by corrosion or damage, which renders the vehicle dangerous to other road users, including pedestrians A tester CAN NOT fail for any other reason!! Or should not LOL!
14. Angry Birds is a great little game! Try "cut the rope" as well - another fun little game for 59p! :D
15. Nah, will be fine for the MOT - sharp edges only applies to edges caused by damage or corrosion anyway. In theory you could weld razor blades to the car & they would have to pass it LOL!!
16. Go 89 spec so there are less 99 specs out there!! :D
17. the 55 is a fantastic car but the 350 is more than enough unless you have money to burn LOL! apart from in a few years when there will only be about £1k between them!! We are getting a few new models next year - I am not 100% but think there is a new SLK on its way. Start saving for number 4!!
18. Very nice Richard - I do like the facelift SLK & that 350 lump is an excellent engine in that car! :)
19. its the same up to '95 regardless of if its a UK or an import ;)
20. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=27060 ;)
21. You could always go really silly & get one of these: http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/200940342987254/sort/priceasc/usedcars/engine-size-cars/5lplus/price-from/15000/model/sl_class/make/mercedes-benz/page/10/radius/1501/postcode/ct20ad/keywords/amg?logcode=p The AMG65 - a 6 litre twin turbo V12 with enough torque to stop the planet from spinning!! :punk:
22. The SL55 is probably seriously underated as a performance car for those that havnt driven one - it has endless grunt & goes like the clappers! What car magazine tested one against some serious italian exotic machinery a few years back & it blew the competition (& the testers) away pretty much! LOL! Fairly pricey to maintain when things go wrong but they are pretty much fully loaded cars! Regular servicing work is pretty cheap & straightforward however If you want to know anything more specific on the Merc or want me to check any history on a car then let me know as I work for Mercedes ;)
23. Like this ;) Nice vid LOL!!
24. Anyone watch it?! Bit of a one horse race LOL! (as expected!) :mac1: I thought Harrison might have shown a bit more interest in the fight & actually try to throw at least a few punches! A real let down in British boxing!
