  2. check for the following on your policy (some do - some dont) mileage restriction exclusions on theft cover - usually outside your house between 2200 - 0600 if not garaged, or within a certain radius of your house (1/4 mile or so) any other exclusions!
  3. just fill it to the brim the night before!!!! :D
  4. all i can say is whoever it is (Ajay?), i know how you feel & am gutted for you too. :( glad everyone involved is ok tho.
  5. i'm with AON at the mo through insurance factory. i'll let you know how good they are after my repairs have been approved/paid for.:(
  6. smiffy's got some on his IIRC. not sure of the make tho.
  7. A very special spanner indeed to change your KOCK sensor, some spanners would have to be larger than others obviously!! :D
  8. sorry, but i loved those cars when they come out & still think the last of them looked the mutts. (1st produced in '73/4 iirc - what a car!!!) :D
  9. no - code 34 means a fault in the sensor circuit

nice one & welcome :) (dont forget theres a general forum for chit-chat ;) )
  11. i believe with the kits that chris is talking about, most of the bhp gains is in weight reduction, they dont underdrive too much because of those problems.

had one of Smiffy myself. i can recommend the kits he gets, its a nicely made quality set, capable of handling quite a bit more torque than standard :)
  13. wish i bought it before i stuffed it :( 'nuff said.
  14. auto or manual?? red oil = ATF from the auto box or PAS. gold oil could be manual gearbox oil!! engine oil, unless very fresh & clean is usually brown/gold. so could be rear main oil seal, front gearbox seal (auto/manual) or PAS fluid running down!! sounds like more diagnosis needed to me ;) but rear main/front box seal is gearbox out & a day is more than enough. (if its a manual dont forget it may have contaminated the clutch) HTH
  15. the Ron (octane rating) is the fuels resistance to knock or detonation. it DOESNT mean its 5% more efficient!! the fuel itsef will burn the same (assuming no detonation), just because your using 95 ron fuel doesnt mean your car WILL det, just its more likely, esp if running high boost etc. anyway, use Optimax, thats 98.summit or other + ;) :D

did you reset the ECU?? if not, disconnect the battery for at least 30 mins. worked for me :)
  17. always a shame when things like this happen. :( hope happiness is restored in the Macca household in the very near future. :)
  18. check Courtesy Nissan in the states for prices. they usually work out cheaper than over here - even with shippng. or speak to Mike Feeney, got his no at work, ill post it if no-ones posted a link or his no by tomorrow :)
  19. chances are its the clutch itself, its usually the clutch cover that causes it as it wears IME.
  20. "EY - EY - CALM DOWN, CALM DOWN" dont worry Vicky, its nothing to do with your gender. it can get a bit heated in here sometimes & theres a lot of piss taking from some (never me ;) ) against all, no matter your age colour or sex!!!! just remember its only a bit of fun, once you bite it just gets worse!!!! :D
  21. LOL!! my ways working as well: Crash your car & use the company's loan cars. Hey presto - my fuel bills gone down to £0 overnight!!!!! :D
  22. you can get the complete 1/4 panel, about £300 odd quid iirc, any good bodyshop should be able to do it, its just finding one  wont be cheap tho.
  23. the one smiffy gets!! :D not sure what its called but its the one with a street disc.
  24. the torque convertor is not strictly part of the box itself, it slides onto the input shaft of the box (gearbox out to fit). unless the casings damaged on the TC its more than likely the front gearbox seal thats leaking IMO.
