  1. yup, i was working for Lancia at the time, it was a bonkers engine - a straight 4 with an inlet manifold between the cams & a zorst manifold on either side, like a vee engine. IIRC, it was putting out around 7-800 bhp. from a 1700cc!!!!
  2. 1. its VERY unlikely though, isnt it  i wont be holding my breath :p 2. its even more unlikely that only people that are members will be able to drive as fast as they like & pay 30p/l on fuel, should the they "win" (do they give medals too?? ;) )!!! :p :p

speak to Smithy ;) i got a RPS sports clutch with street disk. more than enough for the sort of power were talking about here with about the same feel as stock at the pedal (in fact mine was lighter coz my old clutch was so knackered & heavy!) i also fitted a Fidanza flywheel (around 1/2 the weight of the stock one) at the same time. also from the Smithmiester.
  5. FWIW mark, i agree with you ;) the motorist is such an easy target for the government & so much revenue comes from us that nothing is going to change (IMVHO ;) ), ever!! £20 spent on a very small whinging group is just a waste of £20. if i thought it would be worthwhile i would gladly pay. but i dont. all those that are happy paying it - fair enough :)

on a N/A car you should see some improvement in power, but not as much as a TT. the 300zx is not in the catalyst emmission database and should therefore be tested as a non cat car. so as long as you are under 3.5% CO & 1200ppm HC you will be ok. (which you should be unless you have a problem! ;) )
  8. top prices!!!!!!!!!!!!! i cant get anywhere near that as a trader from my supplier
  9. FWIW, the adapters are about £15 iirc!! you can get just a crimp type end, cut the old plug off & crimp (& preferably solder) the new end on. there is 2 coax cables going in. solder the inner core to the center prong, & the outer shield cable to the outer body. job done for about 50p ;) works a treat on mine - & i have disconnected my aerial & just use the one in the rear screen.
  10. where did you get a good price from. they seem to have put the prices right up for these tyres now :( supposed to be a very good tyre tho

also - if its a manual, you want to think about an uprated clutch at this stage. a lightwieght flywheel as well is an added bonus. if its an auto, start saving for a rebuild :D (& fit an uprated oil cooler ;) )
  12. nope!! :D nice try though. you would need a separate speed sensor like the one for the ABS! ;)
  13. the ignition switch just gives a 12v live ;)
  14. unless it has an inertia switch inside that activates under accelleration?? more investigation required!! ;)
  15. watched the Matrix2 last night & thoroughly enjoyed it. but just found this site on the net!!! LMFAO!! some people huh
  16. no problemo :D im still a little puzzled as to whats caused the inlet valves not to seat - did the flush make any difference at all?? im convinced the garage you took it to was using a random compression pressure generator :D ;)
  17. cool  welcome back to the living zed :D
  18. LMAO!! & pay another £20 to do so!!! :D are you sure this isnt a scheme run by the government?!? :D
  19. you lot are bonkers :D im of to debadge my telly ;) :D
  20. cool, old s class coupe to SLR!! im gonna start cutting up my customers cars!!! (hope the approve ;) ) i especially like the AMG engine cover straight over the old V8 lump!! out with the angle grinder at work on tuesday then  :D
  21. Are they available in PINK??? :D :D sorry, couldnt help it Stu.
  22. current flow is the same in any part of a circuit, is you have say, a 5 amp draw from a consumer, then you will have 5 amps on both the +ive & -ive sides of that consumer. so what jock is saying is both sides of the circuit have to be capable of carrying the same amount of current :)
