  9. mines a uk & also had the stop, adjusted it but also felt no difference TBH. off track a little, i remember my tuning days af the A series in the mini where skimming the throttle butterfly to make it thinner was supposed to be good for 1-2bhp!!! :D
  10. well i have the f/w already - so thats it im getting the pully!! :D
  11. yeah, there is always a slight issue with that, from the power pulses from each combustion cycle. would have thought it would be more than acceptable on a V6 tho
  12. the Birdie song, agadoo & o o o o o o o o superman :D
  13. are the wiring looms the same from the US?? lhd v rhd?
  14. Lmao!! :d
  15. while were talking big tubs, this one is hoooge!!
  16. no, on a zed most of the gains are from the reduction in rotational mass, the underdrive gains are quite small as they dont underdrive by that much really. i agree there is always a compromise, but with manufacturers its usually to do with cost! when i fitted my lightweight flywheel everyone bleated on about reducing the smoothness of the engine & making it harsher to drive etc. in actual fact i found no evidence of any of that. just as smooth, not harsh - just picks up a little quicker now :)
  17. I think you're supposed to get 2.7bhp/lb of weight off the crankshaft.
  18. LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!! i do hope you're taking the p!ss!! never heard anything so funny in all my life!! all my cars have always been garaged, which always gives me a discount on my insurance :) fire in the garage or the roof caves in!! :slap: yeah, cos these things happen so often dont they!! much more than some little twat breaking into it/nicking it/damaging it eh?? :nono:
  19. yup, does sound more like VSOS's turbo seals generally leak more on boost.
  20. chestnuts are no good as plugs - very poor conductors of electricity you see :slap:
  21. one other thing to check is your brake fluid level! if youre loosing brake fluid then it could be the rear seal in the master cyl, drawing into the engine through the servo. this will also give white smoke
  22. sounds like valve stem oil seals - u sure its not oil burning. valve stem oil seal leak under overrun conditions as per mikes description. head gasket would leak all the time if it was that severe as the cooling system is pressurised. do you get a puff of smoke when you 1st start up?? i would check the plugs for oil deposits
  23. ???
