  1. yea - now I've done your MOT, put me back in my box :sneaky2:
  2. Even easier when you're a tester yourself!!
  3. Nice one! glad it is all sorted. A pulley upgrade is a common way of getting more power - the kompressor drive is enlarged to give more boost. Check to see if the 2 pulley drives are the same size - if the one for the kompressor belt is bigger then this will increase boost & power - look here for details: http://www.fabspeed.com/Kleemann%20Pulley%20vs.%20Stock.pdf
  4. The shocks dont control the ride height - the springs do (unless you have adjustable coilovers to adjust the ride height). The shock will just sit wherever the spring allows it to. Weak/broken spring or something bent on the suspension will likely be the cause :)
  5. gimme some rep then! :D
  6. this one?: http://s95014253.onlinehome.us/63104/index.html :)
  7. There does seem to be more & more costly rebuilds on zeds - the amount of corrosion repairs alone (mine included) is far more common than a few years ago. To do this work properly requires quite a bit of expense & if someone has bought a £1500 car & needs £2000+ worth of repairs then unless very dedicated to that car then most owners would just get rid! As you say this should leave the remaing good ones that have been looked after with values increasing! good & bad news I suppose - good that decent ones will command a better price but bad as there will be less & less of these cars around
  8. Z32 - the other two are over 6 seconds 0-60 IIRC The S15 would probably be more nimble however!
  9. A tomato's a fruit not a vegetable! :smartass:
  10. LOL! I thought broccoli too but changed my mind to carrot!! LOL! must just make me indecisive.......... I think. Maybe not though - oh I dont know!
  11. and so it begins LOL! the clutch will slip so you need an uprated on - while you are there you might as well get a lightweight flywheel. If you are fitting a lightweight flywheel then a lightweight underdrive pulley is a nice upgrade to go with this.... brake - yea, a nice set of pads & caliper rebuild will be a worthwhile addition - but then if you are spending out on this then hey - lets get a bigger brake upgrade. Time for suspension mods too etc etc etc! keep it stock or prepare for lots of spending LOL! :D
  12. yea, when my make painted mine he said there were a few shades of TK3 - there are quite a few colours that make up the paint. Its such a cool colour for a zed IMO :)
  13. Well, I bought one of these from Amazon & turned up today :) Seems pretty cool so far - nice neat small box, good remote & also a neat remote app for my iphone! just watched a movie - excellent picture & sound quality. photo viewer good & listening to some tunes now through my Harman Kardon sound system!! :D so far seems a very usable media player
  14. dont forget wicked coatings on here could carbon dip a fibre glass one if you found one you liked! :)
  15. Q: Is Time An Illusion? A: Nope - just checked my watch. Its really there. that was easier than all of the above!
  16. yea - they pull endlessly dont they?! :) we have a customer with a collections of mercs (including a CLK Black Edition) - he has a SL55 with the full Carllsson treatment - around 600bhp & it feels like it! Pretty much close to a SL65 Bi Turbo but more useable!
  17. not 100% sure from memory without seeing it - if its deffo coolant lines again then its probably just the heater circulation pump
  18. I quite often book the flight & hotel seperately, not that I have ever left it until I get there LOL! here is a good site for checking out & booking individual flights & hotels: http://www.onthebeach.co.uk/?mv_pc=googlecpcbrand&gclid=CIynq4Ghlq8CFYwMtAodjS-czA
  19. LOL! if you think that where the charge cooler is located is bizzare then you'l love this: the charge cooler system uses the same header tank as the main cooling system LOL! I suppose it just shows how effecient it is using water cooled charge coolers! - the coolant is pumped through a seperate radiator just for the charge cooler system once it comes out of the header tank - from memory I think there is a check valve in the system so it probably just closes at certain temps to isolate it from the main system. Anyway - as you say, clamp off the hoses - you wont lose much coolant anyway doing this - to bleed the system we would usually use Mercedes STAR to run the pump - just power it up again to circulate the coolant around to get all of the air out. job done :)
  20. if you are at the end of your contract with it speak to t mobile - after your contract they will unlock it for you free. They will send a code to itunes & next time you plug in the phone will be unlocked to any network. Done this to my old 3GS on O2 to give to my girlfriend when I got my 4S will make it easier to sell if its unlocked :)
  21. The best way I find to look at this is that the more sh*t your car is the cheaper the road tax - I dont mind so much about paying more road tax than my girlfriends diesel Golf thinking about it this way!!
  22. new v old ;) http://www.z1motorsports.com/popup_image.php?pID=3348&imageNum=2

  24. assuming you are employed have you looked into this: http://www.bike2workscheme.co.uk/ we have quite a few people at work that have signed up to this - works out almost 1/2 price for a bike - the rest is spread out over interest free payments over a year direct from your pay is a really good idea & easy for employers to set up :)
  25. yea - I do remember you being there in a van! happy days - we need more meets & drives!! :D
