are you sure its 9.5:1?? Wisecos are 8.5:1 for a TT engine IIRC? you need a lower compression ratio to run higher boost pressures. A higher compression ratio will give more power at 0 or low boost pressures, but the benefits soon become outwieghed by the power gains at higher boost levels. HTH

look here for boost jet FAQ: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=29063 bleed valves are not ideal on cars with air mass sensors IMO as you are releasing air that has already been measured by the ECU.

Getting very disillusioned with Zed ownership.
totally agree with greg. with the age of these engines you should expect to rebuild a 2nd hand unit before installing it anyway. unless you have physically witnessed it running before it was removed its just too much of a gamble IMHO. good luck!

all of the above! HICAS arms, outer joints, worn shocks & rear tracking. all will cause this.

AFAIK, is just a resonating of the diaphragm in the unit when passing from vacuum to boost pressure in the pipes. in the states they do an upgrade kit which consists of an uprated spring & machined housing. would be interesting to take one apart really to see if its someting easy to make up

no, i mean the regulator on air compressors in my workshop. its just a tap! the pressure gauge after that will hold at a lower pressure. surely thats the same principle?!? :confused:

you need to find out where its leaking. as said, prob the slave cyl. depending on how bad it is you *may* be able to fill it up temporaraly, but it will need bleeding too.
