That's typical - just trying to run away from your responsibilities :D . The moon orbits around the earth: or, to be more accurate, about the centre of mass of the Earth/Moon system (leaving aside, as a first approximation, the effects of the rest of the solar system and universe as a whole). Your position on the surface of the earth - or indeed above / below it, will affect the centre of mass of the combined Earth + takemetothe pub system. So this centre of mass will be in a different place depending on where you are: in the pub or at home or in your zed etc. If you affect the center of mass of the Earth + takemetothepub system you also obviously affect the centre of mass of the Earth + takemetothepub + Moon system and hence the point about which this system rotates. So as you move around, you do affect the moon's orbit and QED you do have control over it.
