Think this is the same for mine, sounds like a nail whan cold, so try an oil flush first then????

I want an oil thats thin at cold if poss, so 5w/50 would be thinner than 10/60. Any opinions on valvoline, or should i go for castrol rs 0w/40???

Dont want to cause a war but im using castrol rs 10/60 and am about to put a slightly thinner oil in for winter, i have the choice of either castrol rs 0/40, or valvoline fully synth 5/50. Which is best and why???

If its front drivers side its probably the top rad pipe leaking at the bottom and dripping down the rad, if you take this off be careful as the plastic tube on it gets very brittle and will fall apart in your hand. If its just the hose, nissan will screw you £40 for one, you can buy a smithy hard pipe set for that. You cant put any old hose on as its contoured too. If the plastic has crumbled beyond repair you may need to consider a new rad, a koyo or similar will set you back about £300 to £400 but they have meatal pipes on them so wont ever suffer the same fate. Good luck hope its a cheap fix.

i guess youve checked your water level??? also i guess you have tried turning it right down and back up again a few times. Next id check that the pipes that go through the bulkhead are both getting hot and try and engine flush. Best of Luck.

Had my plenum hoses sorted there once and for all last weekend, and so far so good. The service was fast, friendly, Ryan even made us coffee, and it was greatly entertaining watching herman put his engine together, drop a bit of rubber in it and then take it all apart again!!! The chocking the starter motor is the method i use, just dont forget to do it back up properly, chunks fell off cos i forgot!!! Also when you take the bolt out make sure you dont lose the woodruff key (a little semi circular piece of metal the size of half a 2p) i forgot this on chunks too and his pulley wheel fell off!!!!! Did mine without a problem though!!! lol
